This is one of Matilde Poulat's most loved designs. It has become so rare to find one of her earliest pieces of the fish dangles that I am offering an MS-12 Matl Salas signed and hallmarked for after 1980 fish design. Salas worked with his aunt since she opened her shop. She died in 1960 and Salas continued with her shop producing the master pieces that we love. The Matl plaque is a double strike and is quite clear. The length is 21 inches long and has a dark natural patina...

Inspired by the Mexican wildlife surrounding him this piece is a gorgeous example of a Spratling interpretation in silver. With obsidian eyes the sculptural & detailed hummingbird measures 3 1/4" X 2 1/8". Wearable length is 17" including tube & bead necklace. Professionally restrung as the original twine was very frayed. Fully hallmarked in the mid 1950's this necklace also carries tiny European sterling & export marks. This design was also constructed with an obsidian beak.

In the style closely associated with Enrique Ledesma yet signed by one of his contemporary Taxco maestros this stunning sterling silver necklace and earrings set epitomizes the slick modernism of Mexico’s mid-century. Designs in this genre capitalize on the stark contrast between highly polished, reflective silver and dark, heavily oxidized surfaces and the visual drama that it creates...

William Spratling's largest chain design is a first phase hallmark and one inch tall. Being 8 in. long it is suitable for a man or a woman. The fit is like a bangle for a woman and the hook clasp does takes up some of the wearable length. There is a curve/groove running down it's center with great dimension which is accentuated with the solid silver being 7mm thick. The color is a beautiful white with almost pure silver of at least 980 silver weighing 121 grams. Impressive at 1in. tall. You will...

Shown in the Gobi Stromberg book "Silver Seduction : The Art of Mexican Modernist Antonio Pineda", this book-piece design is a superb bracelet from Antonio Pineda. It's an extremely difficult design to produce, and it is most definitely a statement piece.

Composed of nine curved "V" links, each is tipped with two bezel-set turquoise cabochons. It's an unusual piece, and one which is very seldom seen. Closure is a tight and secure tongue in box, and when closed this has a seamless appe...
