VERY RARE Hector Aguilar Aztec Flowers cuff bracelet c. 1940-55 in 940 silver. Evald Nielsen ( 1879-1958 ) opened his workshop in Denmark in 1907. His style is very similar to that of Georg Jensen and there are those who think Nilesens' work is of even better quality. This spectacular sterling and lapis Art Nouveau pin measures 2 1/8" by 2 1/8". The bursting lapis bud provides the focal point of the pin and is surrounded by luscious sterling foliage. It is in beautiful original condition and signed as shown. It is magnificent in every way.

A very interesting and beautifully made sterling parrot necklace by Tane, the silver manufacturing company in Mexico City whose emphasis is on quality. The founders arrived in Mexico City in 1942 and the Tane Company greatly expanded in the 1960's and 1970's with the assistance of Tiffany & Co. Born in Italy, this silversmith came to the U.S. at an early age settling in the Southwest and achieved great recognition for his blending of European and Native American design.
