Pedro Castillo was a maestro for William Spratling at Taller de Las Delicias. He also was a maestro for Hector Aguilar until he opened his own shop around 1940. His work is always quality and this bracelet with glyphs shows that. The turquoise stones have warmed with time on this treasure. Hector Aguilar signed bracelet that resembles the shape of bowling pin which are heavy silver and alternate with carved medallions in-between. The weight is 65 grams and the height is 1.25in. at the highest point. The length is 7 inches long. There is a warmed patina through out the bracelet. The condition is without damage. Inspired by the Mexican wildlife surrounding him this piece is a gorgeous example of a Spratling interpretation in silver. With obsidian eyes the sculptural & detailed hummingbird measures 3 1/4" X 2 1/8". Wearable length is 17" including tube & bead necklace. Professionally restrung as the original twine was very frayed. Fully hallmarked in the mid 1950's this necklace also carries tiny European sterling & export marks.
