An exceptional 970 silver and onyx bracelet by Antonio Pineda,c.1955. This bracelet is featured on page 148 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk only with amethysts rather than onyx. It measures 7 3/4" around in the inside and is 1 3/4" wide. Fine original condition, no chips or cracks to the stones. It weighs 120 grams and is signed as shown. A great Antonio modernist bracelet.

I have never seen this vintage design 441 Los Castillo bracelet before. It has a striking presence at 1.5in. tall and has excellent weight at 78 grams. The length is 7 inches which fits most. There are no damages or repairs on this treasure. The patina is natural and dark. I added a picture of a Doris Silver pectoral also listed on my site that is a wonderful pairing to this bracelet. Definitely mark this one down for collectors of things of beauty, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Stunning, long kinetic sterling earrings by Modernist Art Smith, c. 1950. These are screw back earrings and measure 2 1/4" long. They are in fine original condition and both earrings bear his signature on the reverse. They weigh 16 grams total. Art Smith was known for making jewelry with concern for ornamenting the human form and his designs took into account the part of the body the piece was made to adorn. His jewelry is quite dramatic, primitive inspired and mostly biomorphic in form...

Salvador Teran was a designer of note that came out of the Spratling Mexican silver era. Here we have one if his creations that is so simplistic it is timeless. In 1952 award winning Sigi Pineda opened his own shop in Taxco. These pieces marked and numbered Plateros (enough of the mark is there for easy identification) are some of his best designs. This rare marking did not last long as he soon changed the name of his shop to Sigi. The drop is 4 inches across and 3.25 inches tall from the sides. The pectoral takes sweeps and swirls so it is measured with the highest point. The entire necklace is hand chased...

Striking necklace by important African American silversmith Art Smith, circa 1950s. The necklace is three dimensional, with the internal opening on a higher plane than the outer loop. The large scale of this piece of 'wearable art' makes this a very desirable find.

Brass. Excellent condition. Choker length measuring approx. 5"x 8". Interior opening measures just over 4" in diameter. It is correctly signed "Art Smith" on the rear.
