The trunk features solid brass fittings including the lock, latches and heavy brass handles. These handles will never fall off unlike the leather ones which dry out, crack and fade away. The patina on the brass is just beautiful. Other than normal travel dings and wear, I see no major damage or other problems...

Fine Burmese silver box, lid decorated with a female figure surrounded by floral design in high relief descending by geometric design, all 8 sides are also decorated with two male figures and animal cartuches, late 19th/ early 20th century period.
