The piece was supposedly from the building structure or was a stone weight.

Japanese Meiji period woodblock print depicting William Howard Taft viewing a sumo match during his 1905 diplomatic mission to Japan. With Taft weighing in at over 300 lbs., this print is likely offering a subtle comparison between Taft and the wrestler. This print is unsigned and undated. 14 3/4"V x 10 3/8"H. Very good color and impression quality. Good overall condition with pigment transference at the upper left corner, some minor soiling, and a few small holes and thinned areas...

Jar, with rounded sideds decorated outside with lotus scroll, Ru'i lappet on the shoulder and a band of small circles around the foot. Unglazed base. This is similar with the item on the Chinese Blue and White Ceramics by ST Yeo & Jean Martin, Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, 1978, page 116m plate 18. PERIOD : Early Ming (1400-1487 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 22 cm wide. CONDITION: restoration to the chip on the rim. No other damages issues.

This small intricately carved stone shoes were probably given as a gift of well wishing. 3 inches in length, they were carved from unidentified soft stone, not hard jade. There are numerous cracks and chips from age, but the shoes retain their original carving detail.

Kendi, with rounded sides, bulbous spout and tall neck decorated outside with floral scroll and plantain leaves on the neck with metal mount, glazed base. PERIOD : Wanli (1573-1619 AD) MEASUREMENT : 23 cm height, 14 cm wide. CONDITION: the neck set with metal mount and small cip to the end of spout.

Description:

A Jizhou bowl was characteristically yielded on the surface with striking kiln effects(Yaobian).
Transparent and in flowing look, the glaze was suffused with mix tints of milky brown blue and white colours.
The bowl was finely mold in typical Wan form when flat bottom with shallow foot ring was supported underside.
Frets were found around the mouth rim and old crackles were rendered in the glaze due to age.

Covered box decorated polychrome floral, glazed base. PERIOD : Late Ming(17th Century) MEASUREMENTS: 10 cm wide, 5 cm height. CONDITION: one small chip on the inner of cover, can't be seen when displayed. No other damages.

Covered box decorated with Chilong on the cover, glazed base. PERIOD : Wanli (1563 – 1620 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 15 cm length, 5 cm wide. CONDITION: two chips on the onner rim, it doesn't look when displayed, no other damages.

Description:

An interesting piece in tea ceremony is a tea scoop carved in shape of a leaf.
Manually carved from a bamboo piece, the leaf-shape scoop was full of joy of a hand-made artifact.

A fine Edo period black lacquer sake pot (choshi.) The ivy (Tsuta) mon in allover decoration in gold lacquer on the pot and cover. Intricate flowering 'karakusa' vine decoration on the handle. The discus-form pot with flat topped spout and hinged handle and raised on three ball feet...

A belt made of a silver alloy, consisting of 17 rectangular plates, each with different depiction of animals or flowers. The belt buckle with plum blossom design and marked with Chinese character. Condition: traces of usage, repair and maybe shortened. Dimension: 68 cm long x 2.9 cm high, weight: 202 g.

Description:

A Jizhou tea bowl was rarely found in white glaze.
Two brush maneuvered characters Yue Xuan, or Moon Chamber were in the cavetto being a fine mood.
The bottom was mold in flat base when whitish body clay was revealed with brownish burial earth.
It was really rare to find a Jizhou ware in white glaze and also with inscriptions which in nice meaning on it.

Description:

A spotted deer with high horns was an ancient ceramic toy.
Nicely squeezed and mold in shape and obtained the artistic interest.
Some similar pieces were found in Chinese documentation.

Rare Edo period Japanese namazu-e (earthquake fish picture) woodblock print featuring a giant human-like catfish receiving punishment after being found guilty by a judge for causing the Ansei earthquake of 1855. A group of human-like catfish watch as the punishment is being meted out. In Japanese mythology, it was believed that giant catfish living underground caused earthquakes with their thrashing movements...

Golden mist shrouds the aged pines draped with wisteria growing about the crashing falls on this anonymous early Edo period gold screen. A rare scene to find, rigid lines and the lavish use of gold are typical of the first half of the Edo era. The screen features a colorful brocade border with vermilion lacquer frame and has been fully remounted without re-painting. It measures 68-1/2 x 63-1/2 inches (174 x 162 cm) and is in fine condition, showing some old repairs.

A fine b/w bowl, decorated with continuously fungus scrolls to exterior and a single Lingzhi blossom to interior center within double circle. Four characters hall mark to base. Early Qing Shunzhi to Kangxi period. Bowl in excellent condition. Diameter: 13.5cm.

Description:

A black-glazed Zadou was mold in decent form.
In nice proportion, the ware was stand on a foot ring which revealed with beige-tinted body clay.
The glaze on the surface was in greasy feel and was yielded with charming wrinkled results due to age.
