Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period porcelain lidded wine pot or ewer moulded in the form of the character "fu" (good fortune) and decorated in famille noire enamels on the biscuit. The body is densely covered in a pattern of green tendrils and chrysanthemums set against a black background. A central figural panel features an attendant fanning the God of Wealth (Caishen). A nice Ming dynasty 17th century Zhangzhou ware blue and white bowl, decorated with an egret at interior center, outside is plain white. Condition is very good, just found a tiny flake chip to the base, further in perfect condition. Diameter: 11.6cm.

Diameter 41,5 cm. H. 11,5 cm. Condition: very good, apart from some age cracks, wear and a chip on the back of the bowl, some pieces of enamel missing, due to the firing process. Overall in a very good condition.
A fine small blue and white bowl painted with the three friends of winter consisting of the pine, bamboo and prunus rendered in varying tones of blue pigment enclosed by a double line border just below the rim and another at the bottom of the bowl. The interior is decorated with prunus spray.

Of Janus form, with faces and bird beaks on opposing sides, this large food storage vessel is from the Chambri Lakes region, near the Sepik River in New Guinea. Formed of the local clay by the women, the decoration and paint was applied by the men, in honor of ancestral beings.
