This sleek, heavy and solid sterling silver piece was designed in the 1930's by William Spratling. Weighing 120 grams the letter opener and paperweight measures 5 inches long and is in beautiful condition with nice patina. No dents or dings. Spratling also designed a rosewood and silver version of the design shown in a picture here.

The Jacopo brothers had a silver house in Mexico City named Art en Plata in which they carried artisans from Taxco as well as their own designs. Correctly hallmarked with a Taxco artist AJ and a design number 49. This necklace is extremely well crafted with a weight of 169 grams. The repousse bars are 1 1/8th tall and show a 6mm depth. There are hand made disc beads in between the matchstick bars that are 4mm thick. An excellent example which is strung on cable and exhibits no damage whatsoever...

A rare octagonal porcelain dish decorated in underglaze blue with a flowering bush by a rock, along the border stylized Chinese characters. The rim glazed brown, the base with three spur marks and a "fuku" mark within a double square. Dating to the early Edo period. Condition: well with little scratches, rim with 3 tiny frits and two chips, and one chip under the glaze (photo 8). Dimension: diameter: 20 cm, 3.2 cm high.

A breathtaking pair of 19th century (Meiji period) sake cups decorated with hawks stored in silk pouches and enclosed in a red lacquered period wood box. In the basin two hawks, one perched in a pine accented with inlayed mother of pearl, the other soaring high overhead, are depicted in minute detail in raised gold designs. Opposite waves crash over rocks speckled with solid gold lichen. The cups are 10.5 cm (4-1/4 inches) diameter and in excellent condition.

Margot Van Voorhies Carr designed and hallmarked this Mexican Silver Renaissance necklace. The stones are more jelly colored and are better than normally seen in Mexican silver. It is without damage and does have a wearable length of 15in. naturally to 16.5in. with an included heavy extension. The weight is 95 grams and the link is 1in. tall. I am listing on my site the matching bracelelet as shown in the last picture. A definite example for collectors, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Enrique Ledesma was known for his ability to inlay stone next to silver as if it were one continuous flow of material. This is a showy 1in. tall and 7 inches long bracelet weighing 70 grams. You can see that there is substantial stone when looking from the top view of the bracelet. Their are no cracks or chips just natural matrix running through the stone making this piece perfect for a collector and museum.

A very good sized sculpture of Pedanda, a Brahman priest of the highest caste. This is a traditional sculpture, not a piece for tourists. It's made of hard wood, very intricately carved and has a subtle polychrome. H. 51 cm. Condition: expected age wear and a few age cracks. Please refer to the detailed pictures. A similar figure is in the collection of the 'Tropenmuseum' in Amsterdam. Provenance: Belgian private collection.
