Description:

A Jiangyang Temmoko bowl was decorated with radiating russet splashes on the surface.
It was a rare type of this kind in Jiangyang wares.
Enduring old crackles were yielded naturally in the glaze when retrospective sheen was reflected on the surface.
It was used to be coated on the mouth rim with silver band. The silver band had long gone and only left with the residues around.
The bowl was kept in perfect condition without any restorations...

Description:

An archaic bronze seal was from Buddhist ritual.
It was cast on the printing side with four ancient Zhuan characters: Fo Fa Seng Bao (Buddha, Buddha dharma, Buddha Followers, Buddha's Holy Treasures).
There's a long slender knob on top of the seal. Three characters Wu Qiong Gang (Endless Strength) were inscribed on the upper side beside the knob.
The seal was kept in perfect condition and was in darken patina due to long time of age...

An English late Victorian mother of pearl handle fish set for six in fitted case 1890 1900. This set includes six 6-1/2" fish forks and six 7-3/8" scimitar-shaped fish knives. Each piece has a sterling silver patterned ferrule with silver plated blades and colourful genuine mother-of-pearl handles. The purple satin and velvet interior of the box has fitted compartments with locking brass fittings...

A superbly rendered and atmospheric lifetime woodblock print by the famed Japanese artist Kawase Hasui (1883-1957), titled "Ikegami Honmonji Temple" (Honmonji Temple in Snow). First published in 1931, this is an artist's lifetime strike from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. This print is Oban size (14-1/4" x 9-1/2" image size, 19-3/4" x 14-1/4" frame size). It has the 6 mm. red lifetime seal of the publisher Watanabe Shozaburo (seal used from 1946-57)...

An excellent example of the Los Ballesteros taller's work combining silver with simulated synthetic alexandrite, this is a hinged "dimpled dot" bracelet holding two huge faceted gems in big crown settings. The stones are open-backed and they change color under different light conditions going from a deep clear amethyst to a steely purple...

A rather rare, early Cecilia bracelet in the style of Matilde Poulat with a large central curved panel featuring repousse doves above a stylized basket with flowers. Jewel-encrusted with channel set turquoise cabs and corals in bezels it also has a lozenge amethyst between the two birds. Impressive and very well made, the bracelet has acquired a lovely patina over the years that adds drama to the intense folky appeal of the design - the perfect alternative for those of us who appreciate Matl pie...

Japanese plique-a-jour cloisonne enamel vase densely decorated with a bouquet of flowers set against a celadon green background. Chrome rims. Dates from the Occupation period (1945-1960). Measures about 3 3/4"H x 3" diameter. Very good overall condition. There is a faint interior stress crack at the shoulder that cannot be felt (see enlargements 6 and 7). The neck is very slightly tilted.

Striking sterling overlay ring by Hopi master jeweler Victor Coochwytewa who began producing in the 1940's and is one of the most celebrated jewelers in Hopi history. The ring is a size 7 3/4 and the face measures 1 7/8" long. It is in fine original condition and signed with his raincloud symbol as well as the Hopi Guild mark. His work is highly sought after and rare to find. This is a very fine example of his talent.

A 17th – 18th century Neko-tora Tiger by Nagasaki school artist Watanabe Shuseki performed with ink and color on paper in yellow bronze silk border with bone rollers. The parchment is aged and gray, giving the sense of a wall painting in some ancient tomb. The scroll is 14 x 63 inches (36.5 x 160 cm). There is some damage to the lower extremities of the paper, and minor cupping. Watanabe Shuseki (1639-1707) lived in Nagasaki and was a proponent of that school trained under Itsunen. Works ...
