Large Chinese Qing dynasty celadon charger decorated in the interior with a carved scrolling peony motif. Late 19th century to circa 1900. 15 1/2” diameter x 2 5/8” high. Heavily potted and in very good overall condition. There are some original crazing and production flaws to the interior. From a North Scottsdale, Arizona collection. A good condition Tang Changsha bowl decorated with scroll and arabic letter motif in green and brown color covered with milky white glaze. bowl is from belitung shipwreck. Good condition good glaze with one small chip on the rim, no crack, no restoration. Size: 15.5 cm diameter

A pair of Georgian silver table spoons by Hester Bateman, the famous female smith who has been called the "Queen of English Silversmiths." London, 1776-1777. Length: 8.25 inches. These are in the Old English pattern with down turned handles engraved with their original family crest of a rising eagle with wings inverted on a mural coronet. These spoons are in excellent condition with no dings, repairs, cracks or wear to the bowls...

A large baluster form Sumidagawa vase decorated in slips of green and black glaze over crackled red with a three-dimensional tokage (lizard) crawling down the side. The detail on the creature is superb, from the textured body to the white claws with which it seems to grip the sides of the slippery surface. On the backside is a raised gourd shaped stamp reading Ishiguro Koko (One of the most prominent Sumidagawa potters)...

Waves lap at the dark shore crowded with cranes on this elegant 18th century paper screen embellished with clouds of gold flake signed Hokkyo Shunboku (O-oka Shunboku, 1680-1763). A bramble of dried bamboo hides one sleeping form, the others strut about oblivious to the frigid winter air. Turgid blue water rolls slowly behind, waves licking at the near shore...

This is a wonderful Japanese Imari plate, 19th C, with scalloped gilt rim, the front painted with maidens in a walled garden, the back decorated with stylized flowers in iron-red reserves; very good condition with little flaking., 8 3/8" diam.

An ornate Art Nouveau gold filled photo locket on chain necklace with maiden circa 1900. This late Victorian 1-13/16" diameter locket has high relief decoration including a maiden and a poppy flowers border. The back has an ornate AJM monogram and the interior has two photo retaining bezels and one celluloid window. It is gold filled and unsigned and it comes with a later 24-1/4" long and 1/16" wide rope twist gold filled chain with a springring clasp...

Early Deco Peruzzi Italian 800 silver and carnelian necklace, this is a regal piece, crisply cast and boasting a wonderful combination of motifs. The stones are semi-translucent and rich in color and the double chain with its floral links adds a luxurious feel to it. The necklace is 17 1/2" long (it might even feel a little longer because of the upper curve in the central medallion) with the medallion itself being 2 3/4" wide by 3" tall (at the center, including the dangle)...

Spratling used the jaguar in several designs including his iconic Double Jaguar necklace and his large brooches both in amethyst and tortoise. This unusual bracelet measures 7" long x 1 1/8" high and weighs 101 grams. Each of the hand hammered, curved discs carry an applied repousse jaguar with half dome ball. This is a very unique and beautiful Gin (silver) Kanzashi from Meiji Period (1868-1912). It has Samurai's Kabuto helmet and the plum blossoms resting on an open fan which moves to adjust the angle as the bells on the chains jingles. You can only imagine what the occasion was for. The first four photos were taken after it was polished, the rest were taken before. It truely looks beautiful now 5-6 months after being polished...

Sterling silver bracelet with raised repousse swirls and cascabels designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hubert Harmon. Bracelet measures 6 3/4" wearable length and 1 1/4" wide. Harmon designs are rare and considered very collectable as he only designed jewelry for a short time in the early 1940's. Excellent condition with gorgeous patina. No dents or dings. Penny Morrill and Carole Berk's book, MEXICAN SILVER p.139 pictures a pair of Harmon earrings in this design.
