Magnificent robe with fine embroidery with lots of gold thread on a red silk ground.There are 5 buttons made of solid gold, weighing ca. 8 grams each. The robe is in a very good condition, only some lose threads and light discoloring. H. 128 cm, W. 145 cm. This piece dates from the 2nd half of the 19th century.

A pottery jar glazed with a green lead glaze. Half of it is still green while the other half has oxidized to a silvery iridescent color. The variance in color is due to how the piece was buried and the effect of moisture getting under the surface of the glaze and "lifting" it to give it the pearl-like sheen. A young girl, her hair loosely bound, drifts off into a fond memory with a smile as she brushes a letter, the reem of paper draped from her left hand, the bamboo brush idle in her right. Incredible detail from the Kinkozan Kiln in Kyoto stamped on the pale clay of the base. It is 18 cm (7 inches) long, roughly the same height and in excellent condition. Better known for Kyo-satsuma style pottery works, this is a rarity.

Weight - 4 troy ounces.
