Offered for sale is a fabulous, Henry Troemner of Philadelphia, oak and pink marble balance scale from the late 1800s. Balances such as this were known as BOX or COUNTER scales and were used in pharmacies to weigh drugs and other items.

A beautiful sterling and turquoise match holder and tray by Frank Patania Sr. (1899-1964). Huge and sparkling is what to call this Dorothy Bauer sun brooch. Every rhinestone is prong set by hand. Heavy gold plating and the Bauer oval mark compose the back. The brooch is 5" in diameter.

An exuberant sterling pin with a naturalistic design by Felipe Martinez who opened his workshop "Piedra Y Plata" in 1955. The highly polished, smooth amethyst flowers seem to be bursting out of the leaves which are going in all directions.This pin, c.1955, is featured on page 186 of the Morrill book MEXICAN SILVER, however, the pin in the book has green stones rather than amethyst. The pin measures 2 6/8" by 2 1/8" and is in beautiful original condition...

A smashing sterling wire wrapped tiger eye brooch by Modernist Francisco Rebajes. The highly polished smooth tiger eye is absolutely gorgeous and it appears that the sterling wire wrap is one continuous piece ending with the ball decoration. This is a huge brooch measuring 2 7/8" by 1 1/2". It is in fine original condition and signed Rebajes Sterling. What a terrific piece by this great studio artist.

Matilde Eugenia Poulat introduced her designs under the signature "Matl" in 1934. She died in 1960. This is an early and original "Matl" ring,designed and hand made by Matilde Poulat, not to be confused with the Matl style jewelry still being produced by her nephew Richard Salas. This beautiful sterling, turquoise and amethyst ring is currently a size 7. It cannot be sized without breaking the pattern which extends around the back of the ring. This is a BEAUTIFUL CAMEO from a Delaware Estate. Circa 1900 this CAMEO is Carved Conch Shell depicting HEBES AND THE EAGLE. This is a popular mythological motif with the EAGLE representing ZEUS. HEBES or JUVENTAS was the ROMAN GODDESS OF YOUTH, DAUGHTER OF ZEUS AND HERA and often shown with the EAGLE of ZEUS. Set in a light 14K GOLD FRAME this Brooch measures 1 9/16" X 2" overall. Crossover Pin and a C Clasp on the back helps date this work of ART circa 1900...
