A very traditional pair of diamond and pearl earrings from the 1960’s is set in 14Kt yellow gold with a European leaver backs. Among Gerardo Lopez's most collected clamper designs, I love to refer to this specific creation as his "flames" bracelet because of the way the repousse rises in vivacious twists and twirls. Slick, minimalist and yet so eye-catching, a pair of Margot de Taxco silver and enamel earrings with distinctive trapezoidal dangles. LARGE Chambri / Aibom Pottery Jar - Papua New Guinea (Ex. 1970's Collection)

This rare pottery jar was part of a large collection of artefacts collected from the region of the Sepik River, Papau New Guinea in the early 1970's. Most of the collection comprised wooden artefacts, but there were also some much rarer pottery items that we were able to acquire. The smaller version of this particular design, this set of vintage Margot de Taxco earrings reminds me of elaborate woven baskets. The repoussage here is very sculptural and the beading in combination with the wonderful patina the set has acquired over the years accentuates its three-dimensional appeal.
