Chinese Ming dynasty porcelain dish decorated in underglaze blue on a white ground with a hou in a central roundel surrounded by a band of peony flowers and scrolling foliage. One of the nine sons of the dragon, the hou has the appearance of a lion and is depicted roaring at the sky. A similar peony band with scrolling foliage encircles the rim on the reverse side. Thai Sawankhalok round form covered stoneware footed box in the shape of a mangosteen fruit decorated in iron-black/brown glaze on a buff-colored ground with alternating panels of geometric designs and flowers. Knob finial. 14th to 16th century. 5” diameter x 4 3/8” high. Very good overall condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The lid matches well and appears to be original. These two snuff bottles are Peking glass, created to look like gemstone, one jade, one agate. Both measure 2 3/4" high and have stoppers, but no spoon attached. (The darker stopper may be stone, as it has considerable inclusions and is heavy). Both are well done, and give the appearance of stone. The "jade" bottle has a very soft sheen, similar to what actual jade would look like, and has a small foot. Both in good condition, the jade one with a slight chip on the lip...

Gorgeous & rare this sterling silver & amethyst necklace was designed & signed c.1930's by Abraham Paz. Necklace has a 16 1/4" wearable length. Together the cabs & teardrop stones give the necklace a 1 1/2" width. Weight is 101 grams. Hallmarked AP STERLING MEXICO. All 36 stones are in beautiful condition. Besides his own signed designs Paz also made jewelry for Fred Davis during their time at Sanborn's in Mexico City. Designs carrying the AP hallmark are seldom seen on the market.

Bold and striking long sterling earrings designed by Karl Gustav Hansen for Hans Hansen of Denmark. These earrings are from the 'Future' line of jewelry manufactured by Hans Hansen between 1932 and 1948. They hang 2 3/4" long, weigh 14 grams total and are signed as shown. These were professionally, flawlessly converted from screw backs to posts for pierced ears. The hallmarks are intact. A fabulous Modernist design.
