Description:

A wood Bian with carving inscriptions was in very good scholar taste.
" Zun Yo Xuon Tan" means eloquent talking will be amid the seats.
With simple words, it showed the enthusiastic inviting of a family host.
This kind of Bian was most likely having been put in a scholar chamber.
It is really hard to find a real scholar Bian like this. Most of them we found were for business using.

Date: Qing Dynasty, 19th Century...

One of Taxco's foremost modernist designers, Enrique Ledesma is a master when it comes to setting gems against oxidized, minimalist backgrounds and the hinged bracelet at hand proves the veracity of my assertion. Open-backed topaz and color-change sapphire, one of each, seem to float on a silky gris-sourris platform drawing attention to their strong color and to the asymmetry of the design...

Vintage Margot de Taxco Mexican silver necklace and earrings demi, this is a delicate, discretely feminine design and it's perfect for the hot days of summer. Extensive beading, a touch of oxidation, riveted links and a presence that though romantic is still visually strong characterize the set and make it one of my Margot favorites. The necklace measures 16 1/8" long (wearable) with the bow link being 2" wide by just shy of 7/8" tall (at its tallest) while the width at the chain is 3/16"...

The Margot van Voorhies doves design made when married to Antonio Castillo is one of the most endearing and beautiful links she crafted. The length is a long 17in. Barely under an inch at it's widest point. Made from thick silver and weighs 72 grams. It is signed with the old linear Los Castillo hallmark and design # 552. I see a spot on the belly of one bird in my pictures in the center drop and it is rubbed patina but not damage, no dents or repairs...

A remarkably beautiful and exquisitely crafted 970 silver and aventurine bracelet by Taxco silversmith Antonio Pineda. The ribbed silver links alternate with oval aventurine stones that are in a hinged setting and swivel, giving movement and life to this piece. The bracelet will fit a wrist 6 1/2" or possibly 6 3/4" around in the inside total. It is hard to get an exact measurement due to the construction of the bracelet. It is 1/2" wide and weighs 95 grams...

Signed Victoria we have a rare piece that has an exceptional carving. The more I view it the more I think that it looks like a jaguar more than one of the ancient Gods. No chips or repairs and it had to be in a loving home in the condition it is in. Colors in the stone range from ivory, brown, greens to black all swirled beautifully. The size is stunning with a 20in. length. The drop is 2 1/8th in. x 3in. and it is seated on a really thick, higher than 925 silver base...

Thick silver of high purity with deeply chased and oxidized waves and swirls characterizes this early Los Castillo cuff bracelet wrought in a 980 alloy. One of my favorite cuff designs, I love its heft, the comfortable way it wears and the fantastic patina it has developed over its long life. With an inner circumference of 6 3/4" (including the 1 1/16" gap; not adjustable due to the thickness of the silver) it is 3/4" wide (at its widest) and weighs 40.7 grams...

Magnificent and quite rare to find, Sigi Pineda's design 241 is the epitome of modernist elegance and boasts reversible stones - so in actuality, you have two pieces in one! Featuring intense oxidation in the recessed areas which almost looks like cold enamel, the necklace and earrings set can be worn to display either the golden sheen obsidian cabs or the chrysocolla stones. The necklace has an inner circumference of 14 3/4" (wearing almost like a 15") while the earrings are 1 5/16" by 3/4" (...
