We have a very early linear hallmark design 103 M devil fish brooch made by Los Castillo. The fish is 2 3/8th's long and 1.5in. at it's widest point. This is a huge brooch and weighs 32 grams heavy. In some Los Castillo and Margot de Taxco designs we find a letter after the design number. From my experience all with a letter have shown their selves to be somewhat different than the majority made. This very rarely found, 19th century, iron, hand-forged, Child SLAVE Rattle Shackle measures a diminutive 2 3/4" high x 2 1/2" wide. The interior diameter is only a tiny 2 inches wide, and thus able only to fit the wrist of a very young or tiny-framed child. This came from the collection of a Charleston, South Carolina, collector who purchased the artifact years ago out of a Charleston area estate that was once a thriving rice plantation in the 18th and 19th centuries...

I find his work to be masterful and his jewelry, oftentimes based on Margot de Taxco and Los Castillo designs, are always exceptionally well crafted and have very good weight. A pair of porcelain covered sauce tureens with under plates from a dessert service. Circa 1815-1820. These English porcelain tureens are richly decorated with gilt scrolls and hand painted summer flowers. They are unmarked, but are possibly either Spode or Coalport. Condition of the tureens is excellent, though there is considerable wear to the decoration on the under plates. No chips, cracks or restoration. Big and beautifully aged this floral sterling silver Hector Aguilar brooch is representative of the 1940s' love affair with all motifs from nature. The flower is here layered, with deep hand-chased details in the petals and foliage, a strong curving stem and cluster of small beads right at its center. Marcel Boucher trained and worked at Cartier in the Paris, France shop. He left for Taxco to be among some of the most creative thinkers in artistry at the time. He opened a shop in Taxco named Parisina and this necklace is one of his creations hallmarked in that manner. He was not in Taxco long so finding pieces of his marked Parisina are treasures. M.I. Hummel Apple Tree Boy by Goebel. This porcelain doll sits in a (separate) realistic Apple Tree with fruit and birds. The figure and tree stands 13 inches tall. The doll has a cloth body with porcelain head, arms and legs. The doll was dressed by Bette Ball. The doll has it's original box, and is signed on the back of the head Goebel and MI Hummel in script. The Tree is also signed MI Hummel in script. There are no chips, cracks or repairs on either the doll or the tree. Circa 1997.

Chinese Ming Dynasty Glazed Horse & Rider

This impressive and detailed pottery model of a horse and rider was made during the Ming Dynasty (AD 1368 - 1644). It has been coated in green, amber and black glazes.
