The work of Los Castillo and most certainly design number 615 was a Margot van Voorheis design while married to Antonio Castillo. The necklace is thick and 1.25in. tall. This design also came in a smaller width but this example is the biggest one. The completely hand carved links with the bead work make this a time consuming endeavor. I like it best turned inward and the wearable being 16in. If worn outward like the last photo it has a wearable length of 17.25 inches...

This c. 1930's Spratling design measures 3 5/8" X 3 1/4" high & weighs 261 grams. Phyllis Goddard's description on spratlingsilver.com describes it in great detail ~ "Silver and copper circular powder box sits on a slightly domed base...decorated with bands of chased flat circles...set at a diagonal flanked by two incised lines. Each segment is separated by diagonal flat copper bands. The domed and tiered detachable lid is surmounted by a large silver ball...

This is a change of pace from 16in. necklaces. The Quetzalcoatl necklace is super long at an overall length of 28.75in. with the drop being 3.75in. tall and 3in. across. The silver is hand carved into 980 silver and it is silky soft to the touch. You can see the work marks on the back of this very early piece. This weighs a remarkable 128 grams heavy and the silver is 3.5mm thick. This has such presence to wear alone or add other silver with it for even a greater effect...

A stunning delicate cup made from a hollowed egg-shell. Inside is matte-black with patches of gold gilding, while outside the silhouettes of pines and a soaring Hototogisu (cuckoo) are deftly brushed with shiny black lacquer. The imagery instantly calls to mind Japanese poetry, which extols the song of the cuckoo, a harbinger of Spring and warmer weather. There is also something melancholy about the cuckoo call, as they are always deep in the forest, out of sight and alone...

Vintage hand forged sterling silver and azur malachite mosaic pin or brooch designed and signed circa 1950 by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling (1900-67). Pin measures 1 1/2" X 1 1/4". Beautiful condition. Pin back and lock are tight and secure. Pictured on Phyllis Goddards informative website spratlingsilver.com. Spratling's designs are the central focus of the permanent 20th Century Mexican silver collection at Los Angeles County Museum of Art -LACMA.

This is a pearl, enamel, stone, and metal brooch/pendant, featuring pearls and round-shaped green stones, with enamel accents, completed by scrolled wire-work, pinstem and catch, and hinged bail. 1 1/2 in diameter approx. and in excellent condition.

In emulation of a Margot de Taxco's design a vintage silver and black enamel necklace signed by Narvaez. I am familiar with the specific maker's Deco jewelry yet I have never seen an enameled piece by him! Based on a difficult to find (at least in my experience) Margot original, I love the sweeping motion of the stylized feathers and their generous size. A stunning piece, it measures a wearable 17 3/4" with its feathers part being 4" wide by 2 1/4" tall (at its tallest)...

Great looking silver overlay cuff bracelet by Hopi artist Bernard Dawahoya, 1936-2010. Known for his bold designs of traditional Hopi Indian imagery and symbolism, this cuff measures 5 1/4" around in the inside plus a 1 1/4" opening. It is 1/2" wide and in fine original condition. The necklace also has a depth of one inch at it's widest as well. It is shaped on a curve so the wearable is actually the outside rim and not the inside rim which gives it more space. It has a 4 inch diameter for sizing. The piece is correctly hallmarked as shown. There are no dents, bends or damage...

A beautifully detailed lace inspired vintage 14Kt white gold filigree ring, with a hexagonal top, which is centered by an approximately 0.20Ct old-miner diamond. The diamond has I color and SI2 clarity.
