Sterling silver bracelet with raised repousse swirls and cascabels designed and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hubert Harmon. Bracelet measures 6 3/4" wearable length and 1 1/4" wide. Harmon designs are rare and considered very collectable as he only designed jewelry for a short time in the early 1940's. Excellent condition with gorgeous patina. No dents or dings. Penny Morrill and Carole Berk's book, MEXICAN SILVER p.139 pictures a pair of Harmon earrings in this design.

A gorgeous female Bunraku doll with mobile head and hands in the original wooden box. She is 30 inches long from hemline to hair ornament. She has a very adult looking face and extremely ornate hair dress. The kimono is of silk with a shibori obi. This doll likely dates to the 1960s or early 1970s. A rare find for the collector of Bunraku items and Japanese dolls.

Parra is a taller known for fine work and these earrings are very special with 2 turquoise snake eye stones and a huge 2.5in. tall presence. The widest point is .75in. wide. Properly hallmarked as shown and weighing 13 grams heavy. There are no dents on the balls with what you see is reflections and or white dot. No damage and extremely rare.

Vintage sterling silver eagle pin or brooch designed and signed circa 1940's by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling(1900-67). Pin measures 2 1/4" long. Spratling often found inspiration for his designs among the Aztec or Mayan figures depicted in the Codex Nuttal, a Mixtec manuscript. The pin is in beautiful, original condition. Pin back & safety lock work perfectly. No dents, dings or repairs. Fully hallmarked on the reverse...

An early work featuring white walls in Autumn foliage by Kitamura Seigyu enclosed in the original signed double wooden box. The box appears to be titled HakuryuJi no yu (evening around Hakuryuji). There are many places named Hakuryuji in Japan, so it is difficult ot be specific, but near his home of Hokkaido, and a place he would have passed through is a Hakuryuji in mountainous and rural Akita prefecture...

A pair of root-wood geese carvings 10 x 4 x 3 inches (24 x 10 x 9 cm) and 6 x 3 x 8 inches (14 x 6.5 x 20 cm) respectively. There are some minor losses around where the feet are attached to the natural form polished wood bodies, otherwise are in fine condition.

Beautiful screen, the quality did not show here. The measurements are 66"L x 36"H. Hand painted on silk with silk matting and framed in the black lacquered wood. Condition is excellent except in the areas shown in the pictures. One dent did break the paper but not so visible (enlargement 5), small scratches on the right side corner in the matting area (enlargement 6)is minor. The damage in the back (done by a cat) is worse than the picture (enlargement #8).

Drinking dancing and shamisen playing, a skeleton crew doing donchan-sawagi on the back of a pale gray jiban crepe-silk kimono. The figures are performed in the painstaking shibori technique where each dot is hand knotted before dying, each laborious knot making up one dot in the matrix of the design. The piece likely dates from the Meiji to early Taisho era, late 19th to early 20th century. This is not one of the modern bleached versions of this theme, but an antique original...

A massive museum quality Chinese style Pot by leading Kyoto artist Ito Tozan enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The bulb-form body is sculpted with 14 flutes, a pair of beast heads serve as handles. The glaze is olive covered in red, bleeding through in places, the combination of color quite striking. The vase is 18 inches (46 cm) tall, 14 inches (36 cm) diameter and in perfect condition and comes with the original rosewood stand...

 

Large 4 1/4" long detailed sterling silver foot belt buckle designed and signed circa 1940's by Hubert Harmon during his Taxco, Mexico period. Can also be worn as a pendant. Measures 4 1/4 inches long X 2 1/4 inches across at the toes. The interior of the loop nearest the toes measures 1 14". Interior of loop at the heel measures 13/16". Weighs 38 grams, 1.3oz. The design details the contours and shape of the bottom of a foot and toes. Beautiful vintage condition with some surface wear...

Measuring 12 1/2", and finely cast in bronze, this figure represents a Faun or Satyr, one of the followers of Pan, and the original was discovered in the ruins of Pompeii in 1830. With good detail, and true to the original statue, this one has a dark patina, with verdigris visible around the head primarily, and some wear to the patina on the body. Of nineteenth century original, and most likely a Grand Tour souvenir.

Sleek sterling silver vase or tumbler designed and signed (circa 1940) by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar. Vase measures 6" tall with base & mouth measuring 3" across. 257 grams, 9.01 oz. Hand hammered interior. Beautiful condition with no dents or dings. No monograms. Signed on bottom HA 940 TAXCO.

Felipe Martinez was a master stone cutter and designer during the Mexican Silver Renaissance. His choice of stones for the designs were magnificent as is this beauty with swirls of varied degrees of greens and soft blues. No pits, chips or cracks. Nothing comes to the surface to feel with all very smooth finishes. The length of this necklace is a wearable of 16in. The height of the center stones and silver is 1 1/8th inches. It is absent of damage to the stones or silver...

A Ming dynasty 15th century Interregnum - Hongzhi period blue and white bowl, rounded side with everted rim and glazed base, bowl decorated with under glaze blue scenery of Phoenix, human and landscape motif, center with sitting scholar motif.
Bowl is in very good condition no chip, no crack, no restoration.
Size: 12.8 cm diameter.

Excellent craftsmanship by Remy with a gorgeous stone that is almost 2in. tall. The silver is thick and heavy at 76 grams total. This vintage Mexican treasure will fit up to a 7in. wrist. I have shown it with a necklace also listed on my site. There are rings to add a safety chain on the bracelet. There are no dents or damage and the huge stone is smooth to the finger and exhibits natural matrix. This is a great choice and certainly will gain compliments.
