In my opinion the best Mexican modernist designer, Salvador Teran was a maestro of many talents and created some of the most striking pieces of Taxco jewelry. Offered here is his signature "Moon and Star" bracelet, which aptly demonstrates his ability to create exceptional minimalist pieces. The bracelet has an inner circumference of 6 1/2" and is ideal for smaller to medium wrists. Its face is approx. 1 3/4" square and the width of the two "wings" tapers from 1" to 3/4"...

A Song longquan celadon unusual shape dish, rounded side with deep center and glazed base, bowl decorated with raising lotus petal motif at exterior, covered with bluish green glaze. Condition : restored to the chip on the rim. Size: 23.5 cm diameter.

High quality porcelain decorated with beautiful scene of pagoda, thee and persons, glazed base. PERIOD : Wanli (1563 – 1620 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 27 cm wide. CONDITION: restored to the chips of the rim.

Pair of Chinese yoke back arm chairs. Late 19th century. Shanxi province. Elmwood. Dimensions: 43.5 inches height x 25.25 inches width x 22 inches depth. Seat height is 19.5 inches. Each chair has a back splat with carved figural panels. Condition: repair to break on one arm, replaced glue blocks on undersides of seats, some scuffing to one side stretcher on base. Structurally sound.

Large Federal style giltwood girandole mirror with convex glass, surmounted with a fully figured, carved and ebonized eagle with outstretched wings above an acanthus leaf crest. Early 20th century. Size: 42 inches width x 11 inches depth x 55 inches height. The convex mirror measures 22 inches in diameter and is encircled by bands of gilded balls and ebonized stars, between four girandole electrified candle arms. This mirror is in excellent original condition and has modern wiring.

Description:

A bronze Shakyamuni buddha was kept in very good condition.
Had been gilt on the surface but just faded, there are only traces left in the pleats.
It was rarely found that the under cover at the bottom was original when tickling sound was heard inside the hollow base.
It hinted that the original devotion items were still kept within after 600 years.

Tiffany Studios - Zodiac pattern - hexagonal bronze inkwell. Circa 1915. Including the original glass inkwell insert (with internal fracture to the glass). Size: 6.75 inches x 6.25 inches x 3.5 inches ht. Excellent condition.

Rookwood Pottery vellum glaze vase adorned with a blue iris against a matt glaze background that shades from dark blue to light blue and finally into peach. Decorated by Caroline Steinle, 1913. Size: 9.75 inches ht. Excellent condition. Manufacturer's and potter's incised marks on underside of base.

In earlier centuries, large numbers of "holy men" wandered throughout India's cities and countrysides. The Sadhus were respected as Hindu ascetics who had given up family attachments and material possessions often including clothing. Without shoes and wearing only hand hewn sandals they would wander about some silent and some preaching. Miss matched, this is a typical pair of Sadhu's sandals, hand carved and well worn and polished through years of foot contact.

New England folk art theorem with fruit painted on velvet. Circa 1830s. Attractively painted with grapes, peach, lemon, strawberries, pear, cherries, black currants and other fruit. Offered in its original pine frame and wavy glass. Found in a Dorset, Vermont residence. Excellent original condition. Size: 11 inches x 14 inches.

Description:

A soapstone seal was well carved to top with a crouching Bixie.
Two Chinese word Qing Sun(Casually Treasuring) was regularly carved on printing side.
Inscriptions were on the side too.
The stone was in warm brownish tint and in greasy feel.

Pair of patinated bronze argand lamps by John B. Jones of Boston, MA. Each lamp has a floral finial and an urn-form fluid reservoir. Circa 1830-40s. These lamps have been electrified but have not been drilled. One of the wheel-cut glass shades has a minor chip and line at the top rim. Dimensions: 19 inches ht. x 11 inches length x 5 inches depth. Excellent condition. With label of John B. Jones.

Description:

A Zitan cup was carved from one piece of wood block.
Finely carved handle was made to imitate the bamboo stalks.
It was in perfect condition.
There're carving lines on the handle. They were not cracks.
Minute wood grains were yielded as shallow cracks at the bottom.

Fabulous hand made sterling and #8 turquoise ring by notable Navajo silversmith Mark Chee. Active from the 1930 - 60's, he was a benchsmith for Frank Patania and is considered one of the most important Navajo silversmiths of the mid 20th century. This rare ring is a size 7 1/2 and the face measures 1 1/4" long and 7/8" wide. It is in fine original condition and the spectacular stone is free of chips or cracks. Signed as shown. This is a piece to be cherished.

(Earrings SOLD, Ring still available.) Striking sterling clip earrings and matching ring with natural nugget turquoise and deep red natural coral by Zuni silversmith and lapidarist Dan Simplicio. Famous for these nugget settings and foliate designs, Simplicio learned silversmithing from his uncle, Juan Didios, and began producing in the 1930's. These serated bezels are his trademark. The ring is a size 8 and the face measures 1 1/4" long and 7/8" wide...

A Southern Song Longquan dish was in decent form of flat rim and was in good size of 19.5cm in width.
Well designed twin-fish motif was decorated in the cavetto.
It was in greenish tint when obvious incursions was happened to the glaze.
A wooden storage box is accompanied.
