These handmade lacy drop earrings are composed of sterling silver wires shaped into rosettes, with bead centers. Stupendous pair of Taxco sterling silver earrings in the shape of dangling crosses made up of thick "x"s with curled ends. I have never seen a more massive set and let me assure you that the visual impact is beyond description. William Spratling first phase hallmarks as shown are on these magnificent tulip earrings. They are substantial in size at 1.5in. long and .75in. wide at widest point. The weight is 21 grams. They drop beautifully and the screw backs hits in the center of the tulip making it well balanced for a great fit. The swirl curves with the ear for a fabulous presence. No dents or chips. Only striations inside the stones as one would expect to see. Collector quality.

A mother-of-pearl and bone inlaid wood crucifix, fixed on a pyramidal base and with affixed cylinders. Decorated with symbols of the Franciscan order, geometric and floral patterns. The origin (and age)of these crosses is still not evident, they are attributed to the Near East, specifically the Jerusalem area or the Indian Subcontinent, Gujarat. Condition: few missing inlays, few cracks, reverse with oldly filled cracks, top of base with apparently missing inlays...
