This handsome dirk pin features finely banded agate cased in a hand-engraved "sheath"; the hilt of the knife features a cabochon agate stone. It is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England 1911-12, and it has the maker's or retailers mark for Adie & Lovekin. A great vintage clock by Ferro & Lazzarini (est 1947) of Murano, Italy. Clear glass with gold foil inclusions (Cordonato Oro). Clock is quartz, and a new battery has been recently installed, a new battery will be provided to buyer. Measures 4 inches (10 cm) in diameter and glass is 1 inch (2.54 cm) thick. No chips, cracks or repairs. Bears original label on back, that reads: Glass/Murano/Italy/Ferro & Lazzarini. Circa 1960's.

Smooth face clubs fell out of fashion around circa 1900, although they were still offered in catalogues for a number of years. I date the following first two of the three clubs offered from 1900-1910.

The two hickory smooth face clubs are each stamped "ST ANDREWS", "Wright Ditson & Makers"...
