This is an exceptional work of art by H. Santana. The silver is thick and weighs 103 grams. The drop has 3 panels of 2.5in. x 2.75in. and displays a large presence. With the chain being exceptionally long of 18 inches then plus the length of the drop, you have enough to make it a custom fit. I am listing a cut work Santana obsidian bracelet that is a match for the necklace. The cut work is quite endearing with the hearts and scrolls of swirls...

The amethyst comma necklace is one of the most recognizable of Antonio Pineda's works of art. The silver is 970 and silky to the hand. There are no cracks or chips to the stones and no damage or flaws to the silver. The most important thing to look for is how the silver comes up and forms a wall on each link at edges. Most are uneven and without a sharp edge. The length is 16in. long,.75in. tall and it weighs in at 102.5 grams heavy...

A graceful, irregularly shaped band ring mounted with a 6 mm cultured pearl, signed ‘phyllis sterling,’ for the elusive modernist jeweler Phyllis Sklar. Sklar began selling her handcrafted jewelry in Greenwich Village during the 1950s, eventually moving to Provincetown, MA, where she died in 2010. Some of her pieces are signed with both her mark and that of her husband, Israel Sklar, who also produced his own designs. The ring has a rich, warm patina with some tarnish and shows no signs of h...

Difficult to find, especially with its hourglass charm still attached to it, one of Margot's most sought-after, avidly collected, time-themed bracelets. I love the fleshiness of the Roman numerals and the architectural quality of the hourglass charm itself - please not the "beading" that represents the sand in it. The perfect reminder that "tempus fugit" to help us focus on what we love in life and enjoy it and a fantastic gift for the new year! The bracelet is 7 1/8" long (wearable) by 5/8" wi...

Another one of my Taller Taxco treasures, this necklace, obviously based on Salvador Teran's design, came to me with a matching bracelet (by yet a different maker) which I will be presenting in the next few days. An intriguing taller, its relationship (or lack thereof?) to Teran still remains cloudy yet its emulations of Salvador's jewelry are of the highest quality and craftsmanship. The choker at hand, a reinterpretation of a pre-Colombian motif within the context of the mid-20th c. is simply ...

William Spratling's largest chain design is a first phase hallmark and one inch tall. Being 8in. long it is suitable for a man or a woman. The fit is like a bangle for a woman and the hook clasp does takes up some of the wearable length. There is a curve/groove running down it's center with great dimension which is accentuated with the solid silver being 7mm thick. The color is beautiful with almost pure silver of at least 980 silver weighing 130 grams. You will get noticed with this chain as it...

You don't have to be a warrior princess to wear this Sigi cuff yet you do need a certain sense of daring, don't you think? This is one of those pieces that illustrate in the best possible way Sigi's ability to seek out ancient motifs and forms and convey them anew through the eye of the modernist artist. The cuff fits perfectly around the wrist and the abstract overlay stands out against the oxidized background even though it has itself acquired a wonderful patina over the years. The bracelet h...
