A shallow dish, heavily potted, covered in a beautiful celadon glaze producing the crackles of the Geyao type glaze. The recessed base is glazed while the foot rim is dressed with an iron brown wash. With lovely detail, and movable wings, this spice container measures 8 3/4" long and is 3 3/4" high. The head detaches to show a shaker stopper and the wings are hinged to open. The feathered body is embossed all over, and at the ends of the wings, the tail, and the head feathers, there are raised tendrils, giving more depth and detail to the figure...

Nargileh or huqqa bowl made of Tophane clay in one piece. The bowl has a pearl rim and stamp mark decorations, some sections are embellished with gold and silver paint. Marked with a round stamp with Persian writing. Condition: several imperfections, pasted piece. Dimension: height: 7 cm, diameter: 6.2 cm, weight: 92 g.

This rare pair of antique Japanese Samurai stirrups date to the mid Edo Period. The are inlaid with bits of abalone shell. The cut-out below the buckle appears to be the a representation of the trifold Asarum leaves, which was the mon of the Tokugawa shoguns.

There is some loss of abalone shell and there is a crack in one of the foot pads. But they are a gorgeous example even with these condition issues.

English novelty, figural horseshoe shaped inkstand by James Dixon and Son of Sheffield, fashioned in silverplate (EPNS) with a removable glass inkwell. 19th century. A wonderful desk accessory for the equestrian collector. Excellent original condition, with no chips, dents, cracks or restoration. Size: 4 7/8" wide x 5" deep x 2" high.

Embroidered with multicolored scattered scheme of butterflies, double gourds and flowers. Four lobed collar terminating in ruyi heads. All borders extravagantly embroidered with romance figures in a landscape setting, with gold thread couching and Peking knot. Green silk lining...

A fine 19th century American tea caddy in the Japanese taste with applied floral motifs. Condition: no repairs, but with a few small dings to the body. Gorham date marks for 1888.

A French Manche a Gigot bone holder used to secure a leg of lamb or mutton while carving. The handle bears the French guarantee mark of the first silver standard (.950) and the holder, with its crown shaped terminal and trefoil screw, is of silverplated steel. Circa 1860-80. A leporello with Japanese original woodblock print triptychs, mainly designed by Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797 - 1861), famous for his warrior prints. Rare and Exquisite Chinese hand carved and polychrome (painted) Buddha or Kwan-Yin statue c.1840. Carved with the most graceful details from one large piece of wood this epic Temple piece stands an impressive 40 inches tall. In good antique condition some worm damage on the back and base paint and color losses overall. Compartments once sealed in the back now opened were used to store blessed objects such as seeds pearls prayers for the returned grace and blessing of the statue...

An English Victorian claret jug in cut crystal mounted with a sterling silver handle and spout with hinged cover. Fully hallmarked on the silver neck for Birmingham, 1892, by Vale Brothers & Sermon. Size: 8.5" ht. x 5.5" x 4.5". Condition: No chips, cracks, dents, or repairs. Crystal is clear apart from some slight cloudiness on the very bottom of the jug (which might be removed with soaking).

Figural cow creamer, 800 silver, German, late 19th century. This heavy silver creamer is fashioned in the form of a cow with horns and with a curled tail that serves as the handle. A hinged cover adorned with a fly on the cow's back is used to fill the creamer, and the cream is poured from the cow's mouth.
