This is a wonderful pair of 14Kt yellow gold Victorian Etruscan earrings. The top of each earring is set with a small diamond, the bottom has an emerald and a 4mm cultured pearl. The earrings have posts and the total length is 1 1/16”.

Kokeshi, wooden folk toy of NE Japan. Height: 17". This is an example of the "Naruko-kei" tradition of Miyagi Prefecture. The artisan was Moriya Kazuo, who was born on Septemeber 4th, 1928 (Showa 3.) Description: One elegant elm bowl or water pot was from Changsha kiln of Tang Dynasty. By a very rare type of glazing of iron-greenish mottles amid straw-glazed slip on top and around the mouth rim, the water pot was finely molded with characteristic flat bottom. In a chalk-feel quality, the body clay was left with obvious molding scars and was adhered with excavation mud. Slight incursion was occurred to the glaze and was yielded in a whitish look. A spectacular set of bira-bira-kanzashi hair pins in the form of cranes among blossoming plum and pine formed of silver which come enclosed in a custom made silk-lined wooden box. Two are 13 inches (33 cm) long, the other is 9 inches (23 cm) long and all are in fine condition. According to a label inside the box they are from Akita City in Northern Japan, sold by Takeyaso Hon-ten. The box is 15 x 17 x 5 inches (38 x 43 x 13 cm).
