A very delicate and feminine yet dramatic sterling and white enamel necklace by Norwegian designer David Andersen. Long white enamel needle shaped links alternate with round shaped white enamel links. The chain linking them together is sterling with a gold wash. Measuring 17 1/2" end to end and 1 1/2" wide at the "needles", this necklace is in beautiful original condition. There is no damage of any kind to the enamel. Description:

A decent wood stand was well structured by precious Zitan and burl wood.
Framed by a unique species of Da-Yei Zitan, and panelled with burl wood board in the center, the wood stand was reinforced in the underside with lacquered cotton cloth.
Strong and sound, the wood stand was yielded on the surface with darken patina.

Date: late 19th century.

The pendant detaches from the chain to be worn as a stunning brooch or pin. The pendant measures 3 1/4" X 3 1/4". The signed Spratling chain measures 17 inches long.
