Viscuous charred feldspar clouded with stormy color adorns this superb cascading bowl by Kumano Kuroemon enclosed in the original highly decorated signed wooden box titled Kuma Shino Chawan. Like the potter himself, this bowl is large and stable, seemingly welded to the floor by its own weight and presence.
