Wangata style teabowl with fluid dark and light cobalt decoration decorating the exterior of the chawan. Showing both Seto and Annam styles, this chawan by Nakajima Mokusen (b. 1955) has a very poetic appearance and is a very functional teabowl.

This chawan is in fine condition, was made in 2003 and has its original signed box, measuring 4.9" x 3.25".

A dramatic basin brutalized by the elements by Shigaraki Master Tsujimura Shiro enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Representative of this artists work, the lip has split with heat, one edge blasted off, and the entire charred and buried in ash.
