Classic and Momoyama inspired chaire in Oni-Shino style with a wide array of textures, varied coloration and a simple reed/pampas grass decoration carved through an iron-rich slip under a thick feldspathic glaze. The use of varying thicknesses of the Shino glaze not only accentuates the form but creates a moody and atmospheric appearance like mist clinging to a lakes edge.
