This classic Mingei hanaire is by Mashiko potter Hyuga Munetoshi, a one time student of the Hamada kiln (?). Glazed in an exceedingly rich tessha/kaki iron glaze the pot has wax resisted decoration of flowers on either side of the pot. Created for both function and decoration , this pot is a great example of modern Mingei influenced Mashiko pottery.
