A thinly applied white slip covers the body and patches of fawn colored spots dot the surface. Bursting with life from the bottom, a bamboo spreads its leaves revealing a bright jewel under the rain. A Spectacular Bizen Tsubo dripping with ash glaze by Yukuyoshi Manabu enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Bizen Yohen Tsubo (Kiln altered). The rim is covered in built up black ash, which grows more liquid as it enters the burning embers on the side, and is blasted around in rivulets to the back where it has created two shadows of raw earth where another pot was in close proximity. A deep pool of rice wine awaits the drinker in this stately form by Miwa Kazuhiko enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Cup of Deep Abundance (Fuchifuchi-hai). The name comes from the deep part of a river (fuchi) where fish tend to gather. Outside this white glaze crawls and plays over the slightly blue tinged glaze beneath it, which covers the rough Hagi clay.
