Large Aka-Shino mizusashi with it's original ceramic lid. This Momoyama influenced mizusashi is by Kato Yoshiaki (Jumei) who has won a number of awards and is recognized for his tea wares.

Exceedingly well fired Shigaraki mizusashi resembling two ash covered stacked stones. This ash and charcoal covered mizusashi is an enigma. The signature is illegible but the piece is obviously a work of one of the most talented Shigaraki potters of the post-war period. Possibly Furutani Michio, Ueda Naokata or Juho, Sugimoto Sadamitsu or at least someone of that caliber. I will leave the sleuth work to the next owner.This piece is positively medieval in appearance...
A superb example of the work of Kimura Morinobu enclosed in the original sgned wooden box. The cream colored crackle glaze is speckeld with flecks of iron an ishihaze with five Zen circles around the circumference, subtly calling to mind the Book of Five Rings (Miyamoto Musashi). Striking black flashes of oil-spot glaze surface on this Tetsu-yu Tessai Tsubo by Shimizu Yasutaka enclosed in the original signed wooden box. A slight deviation from the norm, here is a scroll depicting the character Tsubo by Shigaraki artist Koie Ryoji in liquid strokes, the outer lines dissipating into the paper canvas. Ink on paper in a dark cloth border and unusual metal glazed ceramic rollers. It measures 19 1/2 by 42 inches (49, 5 x 107 cm) and is in fine condition.
This is a GUINOMI of HAGI WARE by DEISHI SHIBUYA. He is famous for HAGI WARE. HAGI is the pottery of YAMAGUCHI PREFECTURE in JAPAN. Very good white glaze like thick cream. Robust Oribe style teabowl with kushime combed decoration over faceted planes around the bowl. The interior shows a wonderful texture created by the pooling glaze and intermingling of copper and iron in the glazes. The base of the bowl is my own temmoku glaze
