Here is a stunning example of California maker Francisco Rebajes’ jewelry designs. The necklace is constructed of stylized leaves linked by folding the top of one over the next, to produce a sinuous movement. The silver-plated finish is brushed to soften the patina, and shows some tarnish. The tongue-and-groove clasp is in good working order, and bears the Rebajes mark. The necklace measures just under 16 inches long by 3/4 inch wide.
Nettie Rosenstein hinged bangle bracelet and dangle earrings, handsomely crafted as always. The set, 1940-50's, is beautifully designed, and the bracelet is heavy and chunky. As with everything we present, it is in excellent condition. The opening at the rim of the oval bracelet is 2 1/2" by 2 1/4" and the bracelet is 1 3/4" wide. Sir Alexander Korda was a Hungarian born film director and producer. He was the first film director to be knighted. This movie started the trend for collectors wanting jewelry like the pieces worn in the movie. Most of this jewelry was produced by Rice Weiner. This pin is circa 1940 the same time that the film came out.

Cuff and Necklace in Rebajes classic Leaf motif with fine black patination. Cuff measures 2 inches (5 cm) and fits a 7 1/4 inch (18 cm) wrist comfortably without adjustment. These earrings are very well made: an indicator of the fine Hobe work. The overlapping petals have nice stamp work around the bezel-set, turquoise, glass cabochon. The earrings are both clipback and screwback. They are gold plated and marked Hobe. They are in excellent condition.
