A pair of fine shakudo ornaments originally mounted in Victorian times as a pair of cuff buttons, and then re-imagined by our jeweler as an elegant split-chain pendant necklace. The two plaques feature a court lady and gentleman in Meiji-period costume. This pretty pin measures 7/8” across. Some of the leaves are enameled in shades of green, yellow and orange, alternating with leaves set with 3 seed pearls each. (The colors make it perfect for Spring or Fall!) It is centered by another seed pearl. The findings are original, with an interesting security clasp. The clasp has a maker’s mark: an arrow with a circle at the end, most likely for Robert Klitz, of New York. It doesn’t have a hallmark, but it tests for 14k gold. Circa 1900...

A beautiful pair of Victorian 14K gold drop earrings with calibre-cut Persian turquoise, pearls and old mine and rose cut diamonds set in an expanding star pattern. The settings are pierced, lightening the overall feeling despite the earring’s generous size. The edges a finished with a pierced gallery. This elegant stickpin features a stylized flower design, based on a Japanese family crest. It is marked “k20” on the back, and tests as a very strong 20kt, so it might be finer. The flower head measures 1/2 x 7/8”, and the whole pin is 2-1/2” long. It weighs 2.4g. The pin is a little bent, not surprisingly given the high gold content (please see photos), and course that can’t be seen when it’s worn, and could easily be straightened. A eye-catching Victorian 14K yellow gold slide chain comprised of a fancy link chain and decorated slide. The engraved slide is adorned with four gray seed pearls flanked by two deep red garnets. This Victorian-style ring has a Gothic design sensibility. The elaborate prongs set off the large iolite (approx. 2 ct.) very nicely, and it includes 4 small single cut accent diamonds. This indescribable set dates to about 1870 and is in amazing condition. It is crafted of 18k yellow gold frames and backings with enamel accents. The centerpieces are depictions of birds crafted of actual bird feathers and set behind what is most likely a piece of rock crystal. They are truly little pieces of art! A fine Victorian 18K yellow gold locket of modified kite shape in the Etruscan Revival style. The gold surfaces have a matte finish and are enhanced with a variety of ropetwist and beaded decorations in a sort of laced corset design. Spectacular heavy 14K green gold, ornamental link men's pocket watch chain, late 19th Century. The chain comprising 8 fancy twisted love knot links alternating with 8 unusual rectangular links. At one end an intricate hinged round screw clasp for a watch, at the other a slide ring. Clasp marked "14". Length: 15 1/4 in. Wt: 73.9g. Condition is excellent. One of a kind!

Modern looking earrings with hand-carved concentric onyx circles and 14k yellow gold findings. Well-polished and in excellent condition, these earrings date to about 1880. They are unmarked but have been tested. They measure approximately 2" in length and 1" at their widest. Even though they are onyx, they are not too heavy for normal wear. The overall weight of the pair is 10.4 grams.

Circa 1860's, a wonderful Persian turquoise and seed pearl bow brooch of sterling silver with C clasp, and in its original box. The brooch measures 2.5" x 1.25" and is in excellent condition, although the hinged straight pin could be straightened a bit.

Go back in time with this beautiful bracelet. The focal point is an intricately engraved 14 karat Victorian box catch from the end of the 19th century. Two rows of curb chain sandwich a central row of a texturized fancy link chain. These 14 karat chains may be of the same age as the large clasp or may have been added later, in the 1920’s. The catch is engraved with the initials SGR and the whole bracelet measures approximately 7 ½ inches long.

A wonderful, heavy 14K yellow gold fob seal of oval form surmounted by a pair of snarling chimera heads with curling tongues.
