The most perfectly designed period arts & crafts large bronze(or brass) and blus lapis ring, c.1915. Vintage unsigned unmarked yet tested sterling silver Mission style bail holding an odd faceted light as a feather amber pendant on newer 21" sterling chain.
The amber piece is Just under 2 1/2" X 1 1/8 @ widest while the large bench made bail adds another 3/8". This is an old piece as evidenced by some teenie semi circular drill marks at the drilled areas that old organic pieces often get from age and arid conditions. Priced Accordingly. Aesthetic movement Shiebler-type sterling MEDALLIONS pin by Parks Bros. & Rogers, Providence, Rhode Island, c.1885. Heavy gauge silver pin with a medallion at each end and an adjoining chain link design makes for a very strong design. Chain link is curved so pin can hold a scarf. Unusual and very large arts & crafts sterling/moonstones/garnets double pin, c.1910. Made of very heavy gauge silver(90 grams) these two hand made designs with applied decorative silver work are attached with a double silver chain. A masterfully crafted, meticulously finished frame of sterling lily pads accented with tiny beading and elegant little wire swirls surrounds a flat-top amethyst gem in the vintage studio ring I am presenting here. Signed by Mary Gage, the eccentric yet talented silversmith (among other vocations!) of the late American Arts and Crafts movement, this wide sterling silver band ring is entirely hand-wrought and features her signature "lily pads" motif. True to the philosophy of the Arts and Crafts movement which valued artistry and craftsmanship at the expense of ostentatious materials this early 20th c. ring is wrought in silver and centered by a glorious Peking glass cabochon. The ring’s bezel is supported by laurel leaves, their layering given depth by oxidation while the white swirls in the green cab bestow it the dynamism of turbulent water.
