A rare pair of mid-century haute couture cufflinks by Pierre Cardin. Each face comprises a carved jadeite bead simply mounted on a gold post. The backs are slightly arched gold bars. The jadeite beads are carved in a floral pattern and are done so in a way that they are carved completely through from one side to another. Vintage 1950's sterling silver & onyx necklace designed & signed by Taxco, Mexico modernist Antonio Pineda. Interior wearable length is 16 inches. Both stones & silver are in beautiful condition. Clasp is tight & secure. Fully hallmarked on reverse. Truly a museum quality wearable work of art, this design was included in the recent museum exhibit SILVER SEDUCTION: THE ART OF MODERNIST ANTONIO PINEDA and is pictured on p. 133 in the book of the same name by Gobi Stromberg.

This beautiful 25" long chain has very interesting links. Every other one is textured, and the others are a double link with a bead detail. The links measure approximately 5 mm across. The chain is probably English made and is marked "18" on the clasp. It is in excellent condition and the overall weight is 31.9 grams. It is the perfect companion for any locket or fob.
