An attractive pair of mid-century 14K yellow gold cufflinks, the rectangular faces bezel-set with oval cabochons of black star sapphire. This great, petite engagement ring is another one of our lower priced value items. The approximately 0.27 Ct brilliant cut diamond has I color and SI1 clarity as graded by our in-house gemologist, but it is not certified by GIA or EGL. The diamond is set in a 14Kt white gold classic six prong setting with a half round pinched shank. The ring is a size 6 ¾ and can easily be sized.

It's been a very long time since I offered a Mexican clamper bracelet and I am happy to be starting again with a classic Taxco design, this repousse and shadowbox "Quetzalcoatl" example. The maestro who signs it I am familiar with - he worked in Taxco and it seems that clamper bracelets were one of his favorite forms...

This dainty pin was made by Hermann & Speck, well-known jewelers of Pforzheim in Germany in the years around the turn of the last century. It is centered by a blue sapphire, and it has a pearl dangle. It is marked 333 for 8kt gold, but when we tested it, it held for 10k (this is not unusual; however we had never seen a mark for 8kt gold before! Very unusual!)...

A vintage brooch by Taxco artisan Enrique Ledesma with a sterling silver overlay on a shell background. There are two small round inlays of copper.

Measures 2 1/2" long and 1 1/2" at the widest. Marked on the back with a partial Ledesma, Taxco, 925, and an Eagle mark. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely.

An antique pin with a modern vibe. This charming Arts & Crafts is made of sterling silver that has been enameled in artfully shaded blue to chartreuse to look like the wings of a stylized moth. A mother-of-pearl oval centers the body, and there is a small faceted green 'stone' (possibly glass) at the head. The pin is 1 ½ by 3/4 inches in size, not including the small spherical dropper which is enameled in a rich blue. The pin is circa 1900.

Here is a lovely necklace of openwork panels, each with a center marcasite, and three prong-set carved carnelians. All are suspended by a white metal chain decorated with embossed links. A handsome and colorful pair of reverse-carved Essex crystal cufflinks set in 14K yellow gold. The faces feature color fly fishing lures in shades of red white and black against mother-of-pearl backgrounds. An attractive pair of gilt 800 silver double-faced cufflinks. The round faces are simply decorated with concentric rings bordering central gilt reserves. The faces are joined with the hinge bridge connectors more often seen in Scandinavian designs. The connectors are marked “800” and have an unidentified maker’s mark “EP” in a diamond-shaped punch.
