These 1920s two-sided cuff links are nicely decorated, with molded circular centers reminiscent of engine-turned engraving and black enameled, eight-sided borders. A classic design of engine-turned engraving on both sides. The cuff links are in nearly unused condition; there are areas of tarnish, which should be cleaned only with a polishing cloth (an applied polish could remove the gilding). The bridge bars and hinges are secure, and there is no sign of metal stress. There is a mark of 835 on the bridge bars to indicate silver content; the name ‘Goldfront’ also appears, as well as an unidentified maker’s mark...

These two-sided silver cuff links are embossed with wavy lines on the large rectangular side and impressed wavy lines on the narrower side. This pair of nicely molded cuff links feature bold ray-like ridges on the oval sides and vertical ridges on the narrow sides, all enhanced with dark oxidation. They are European made, and marked for .835 silver; the country mark is hard to distinguish and the maker’s mark looks like a TK or KT. These 1960s cuff links are formed as square buttons, with diagonal scores enhanced by oxidation. They are hollow, but have a substantial feel and a nice heft. The larger buttons are marked Taxco; there is no sterling mark but all of the buttons test as sterling silver. Here are a pair of late 19th-century oval cuff buttons decorated with horseshoes of inlaid dyed black onyx. They are probably American; the round backs show a sterling mark and possible maker’s mark for Ludwig, Redlich & Co. of New York. The surface exhibits the warm patina of considerable age, but the inlay shows no loss. The backs are well soldered and secure. Each oval button measures about ¾ inch long by ½ inch wide. Weight: 5.2 grams total

Decorated with classic engine-turned engraving, with a blank reserve for initials. This money clip shows few signs of wear and appears to have a lacquered surface to preserve the finish. It bears the mark of B. A. Ballou & Co., of Rhode Island. It measures 1 ¾ inches by ¾ inch. Weight: 11.3 grams

Composed of oblong and rounded sides decorated with Middle Eastern-style motifs of embedded silver vines, leaves and stars. The cuff links are unmarked, but test definitively for silver. The bridge chains are securely fastened and composed of figure 8-like links; the wood and silver decoration exhibit no cracks or other signs of wear. The rounded sides measure just under ½ inch diameter. They are dated conservatively at around 1960.

Elaborate wirework is the defining feature of these distinctive cuff links, which are unmarked but test as silver. They are gilded, including the wirework, and are enhanced with maroon enamel. The buttons are attached to silver gilt bars by chains. They come in a small box with the name of a jeweler in Lisbon, Portugal. The buttons measure a little over 5/8 inch in diameter.

Set with a polished black and white stone, this mid-century tie bar is sturdily made and works nicely as a money clip. The stone is secured by zig-zagged wires. The bar is marked sterling, and measures 1 ¼ inches long, including the stone; the bar is 3/16 inch wide. Gross weight: 4.2 grams

These cuff links feature a delicate geometrical design in pink and blue, hand painted under the glaze on a white ceramic ground. The buttons are framed by sterling embossed rims and are joined by removable sterling figure-eight bridge bars. The glazing leaves tiny gaps in some areas around the edge. They bear the mark of Coddington Bros. and Heilborn, of Attleboro, Mass., and measure ½ inch long by ¼ inch wide. Gross weight: 4.1 grams total

This money clip is light but sturdy, with an openwork design that appears to depict part of the Chinese symbols for happiness. The surface shows very little wear and a soft patina. The back is marked sterling. The clip measures 2 3/8 inches long by just over 1 ¼ inches wide. Weight: 13.3g
