A 14k ray starburst yellow gold charm or pendant from the 1960s. This finely detailed charm measures 5/8" across, it weighs 1.2 grams and it is stamped Kr14 ITALY on the undecorated back which has never had a monogram or initials. This pin is unusual due to its length: it measures 2-1/4” x ½”. The fancy engraving is enhanced with black enamel, and the pin is centered by a faux pearl. The central element makes us think of a gear – this would be great to wear to a Steampunk event, or any event with a Victorian theme! It shows a little wear, but it’s still very pretty. This pin features a lovely grapevine with its grape and vine motif from The Arts and Crafts period. It measures 1 1/2 x 2". It is convex (approximately 3/8", at deepest). The pin stem is brass. It is marked STERLING. It has good heft and is in great condition.

This charming 14 k gold pin is an homage to a moment in American history. The Daughters of Liberty was formed ~1766, shortly after the Sons of Liberty. This group of brave women boycotted British products and made use of traditional women's skills such as weaving and spinning, to support the cause of liberty.
