An elegant late Victorian or early Edwardian 14K yellow gold long chain with opal double-cabochon stations at regular intervals. The stations are carefully arranged so that the opals are alternately spaced whether the necklace is worn at full-length or doubled. The clasp can also be used to suspend a pendant. A wonderful, generously-sized Retro period 14K yellow gold charm or pendant depicting a spaniel. The dog is finely detailed and is offset with sparkling blue sapphire eyes. Ruser, the foremost Beverly Hills jeweler of his time, was a favorite of Loretta Young and Joan Crawford. His famous line of poodle jewels were inspired by Crawford's poodles. A pair of Victorian 12k rose gold drop earrings circa 1900. These (unmarked but tested) 12k rose gold drop earrings are mounted on later gold filled screwback mounts. These earrings measure 1-1/2 x 1/2" and they are of hollow construction. They dangle freely and the facetted balls move as well. A half-ball is mounted on each 12k gold filled back, and this pair weighs 2.4 grams. They are in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than a bit of flattening...

A lovely late Victorian 18K gold locket enhanced with ornate pierced arabesques and pearl-studded laurel wreaths. The pearls have particularly nice color and luster. The cover opens to reveal a glass-enclosed compartment for a portrait or other keepsake. A small piece of cloth soaked in perfume could have been added behind the pierced cover to provide a bit of relief from the smelly Parisian streets of the 1800s. The original bail is also set with seed pearls. Stamped with French 18K gold marks....
