Known as the "Ornamental Squares" design, this bracelet by Hector Aguilar is features in many book and is one of his most iconic designs. This one is exceptional with it's longer 8" length. We are offering a Los Castillo clamper bracelet that is rarely seen. It has a Matl feel to the design and is really exceptional. 1 5/8th in. tall at it's widest point. The silver is thick and heavy at 75 grams of weight. No damage and natural patina.

Pictured in the book "Mexican Silver Masters" by Penny Morrill on page 40, plate I-55 is this lovely and unique bracelet by Hector Aguilar. Circa 1945-1950 it features a deep purple oval Amethyst cabochon stone on the clasp with fancy and ornate silver wire links. It measures 7 1/2" long by 3/4" at the widest and weighs 42.3 grams. The hallmark is blurred but the HA mono is clear, a partial mark reads "Ster" and the rest appears to be "Hecho en Mexico"...

RARE:Set of 4 malachite and sterling SHOT glasses by William Spratling, made during the CONQUISTADOR period, Mexico, c.1949. Spratling had a contract with Conquistador and produced 300 items during 1949-1951. He received royalties for the designs and the items were made by Conquistador. The silver shot glass sits on a square malachite base. They each measure 2" high and the base is 1" square. Each pair is attached with an original piece of twine...

Beautiful repousse' work in this elegant design by William Spratling brings the piece to life. Weighing 23 grams and measuring 3" x 2" the brooch was designed as a dress or fur clip. Spratling designed this piece in a few different sizes. For comparison see the 4" x 3 1/2" example also listed on our site. All in beautiful condition with excellent patina. Exquisite & rare this lifelike sterling silver, copper & brass angelfish brooch was designed in the late 1930's by Margot Van Voorhies for her husband's taller Los Castillo. Beto has shown us quality plus original designs to everything that I have seen. His work was always made with thick silver and this set has a total weight is 93 grams heavy. Every link in this set is 6/16th of an inch tall and 1.75in.across. The length is 15in. plus with the necklace built on a curve it adds a bit more length. The stones are barrel cut and they are darker than they appear in most of the photos. No chips or damage to any part of this well loved and cared for grouping...

Margot Van Voorhies signed design # 5513 is a large bracelet measuring 1.5in. tall with a royal presence. It is an airy design but constructed with thick silver repousse and weighing in at 62 grams of heft. The length is 7.5in. There is no damage of any kind and has a natural patina. We are offering a very old, Mexican Silver carved amethyst necklace crafted with heavy repousse. The center stone drop is larger at 2in. x 1.75in. and is also smoother to the touch. The smaller carvings are sharper edged and have a more clear iridescence. This is an impressive Hector Aguilar bracelet. Vintage dated to 1940-45 because of the earlier 990 mark making this one more rare than most. Weighing 51.2 grams and 1 1/8in. wide the chain is heavy and the gage of the medallion is thick silver. I was quite surprised the first time I had this design in my hands because it was a larger piece than anticipated from photographs. A lovely addition fit for anyone's collection.
