Interesting vintage pin in hand-hammered copper with an overlaid sterling silver abstract representation of a female nude. This highly artistic and original pin has a tiny hallmark which I do not recognize (see photos). It measures 1.5" in length and has an older hook type clasp. In excellent condition.

Very unique ring by Sam Kramer, the 1950s New York based jeweler whose "expressive, organic work and surreal workshop, located on West 8th Street in New York's Greenwich Village, paved the way for other mid-twentieth century metalsmiths, and for many more working today" (Toni Greenbaum). I believe this might have been a custom piece made for a musician, as I can't find anything quite like it in the literature or online...
RARE OFFERING:Copper and brass "CROWN OF THORNS" necklace by Art Smith, NYC modernist, c.1960. Necklace shows a contrast of metals and sizes. The base is a copper neck ring from which brass sticks and balls jut out at various lengths. The copper neck ring is made of 6 hinged moveable sections. Although unsigned, this necklace has been verified as made by Art Smith. A more complicated version appears in Messengers of Modernism on page 94 and on the cover...

It is rare to see jewelry sculpted on front and back. It is signed "E. SILBERT STERLING" and measures 2 1/2" high by 1 3/8" wide. Ring is used to hold chain. Excellent condition. Sterling modernist ring by silversmith Bill Tendler(1924-1981), NYC, c.1955. Bold architectural design using shiny silver columns set out from an oxydized background. The ring face measures 3/4" wide by 3/8" high and is size 4 3/4. The band has an interesting shape and is an integral part of the design.
