This is a gorgeous necklace from Margot de Taxco, her design # 5240. An early piece, featuring winged panels with brass domes and tiny beading. Absolutely fabulous condition, with no dents, dings, or dimples to any of the domes. Measures a closed, wearable length of about 15 1/2". 3/4" tall. Weight is 79.5 grams. Signed and hallmarked "Margot de Taxco 5240 Sterling Made in Mexico", with the eagle assay 16. Collector quality.

Rare sterling silver and enamel necklace and bracelet "Jazz" set designed and signed (c.1950's)by Taxco, Mexico artist Margot Van Voorhies(1896-1985). Bracelet measures 7" long and 15/16" wide. Necklace measures 17" long with the center motif measuring 2 3/4" by 1 1/4". Both necklace and bracelet are signed MARGOT DE TAXCO, eagle 16, STERLING, MADE IN MEXICO, 5743. Beautiful vintage condition with no chips, cracks or enamel loss...

The ornate shank is original to the piece. This foliate design has been seen on some signed Peruzzi; the Italian one using 80% or 800, while the American using 925 sterling.

This maple leave pin consists of plique a jour enamel in a sterling silver setting. This lovely pin is highlighted with paste accent stones along the main leaf veins. The green plique is a very nice rich color. The pin seems to be missing one leaf, however, someone filled in the space with a pretty drop made of green agate, so the loss is hardly noticeable. It is centered by a faux pearl. The enamel itself is in good shape, with only a few hairline cracks - normal in all but the very best pieces...

Made in 1978, this vintage English sterling silver ring epitomizes the timeless appeal of Wedgwood jasper "cameo" rings. This Mexican Silver necklace is hallmarked with an ms conjoined, Taxco, Sterling and an eagle 3 as shown. It is very outside of what I would normally acquire. Lighter than my average acquisitions, it is solid with no repousse and is 30 grams in weight. Very comfortable as it feels lighter than air. The minute I saw it worn I was convinced that it was very special. Dramatic at 7 inches long and 4 inches across the presence is commanding...

This swirled brooch measures 1 1/2" tall and 1 7/8" across. Has a partial fhb mark on the back. Also marked Sterling.

A sterling silver charm bracelet with 8 charms by Corel circa 1950s. This vintage 7-1/4" long and 5/16" wide heavy link charm bracelet has a spring-ring catch, a safety chain and it is stamped COREL STERL...

This is a wonderfully executed figural ring depicting a man in a turban with snakes on either side, made of sterling silver and decorated by a 5 millimeter round fire opal. The hall mark is a bell within a bell. The ring is size 6 1/4 and it can be sized.

This Fred Davis is properly signed and 15.5 inches long and will catch your eye when walking by. The amethyst stones are berry colored and bright. Even harder to find are nice well formed bezels. The necklace makes a presence with a height of 1 inch. There is no damage or repairs. I will include a safety chain if you prefer to wear it longer. A hefty 90 grams of silver made by a Mexican Silver Renaissance Maestro, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

In my last treasure-hunting adventure I ended up with a couple of really really nice cross pendants and necklaces. The first one to gain center stage is this two-sided Flli Coppini Italian silver example. Executed in the .800 alloy that was the Italian standard until 1934, the pendant is crisply cast and its profusion of detail and ornamentation is easily readable to the eye...

This fine pin, with its deep, dark yellow, palmate leaves is by Norwegian silversmith Bernard Meldah. It is sterling vermeil with basse-taille enamel and measures 1 3/4” x 1 3/4”. It has a C-catch and is marked “925 S STERLING” “MB” (superimposed, Meldah’s maker’s mark) and “MADE IN NORWAY.” This piece is in excellent condition.

Marked Sterling P.M. for Pauline McCray, this piece measures 2-1/8"x 1-5/8" and weighs 21.9gr. The unmarked silver rope chain is 18".
