Substantial and quite unusual in its design this modernist Mexican silver bracelet is an Enrique Ledesma creation and it is adorned with two faceted color-change sapphires. The bracelet’s shape reminds me of ancient torques yet here the two ends bypass each other in a tight, determined embrace. I love the way the sterling tube grows in diameter as it progresses to the bracelet’s front where it is abruptly cut at an angle to accept the gemstone in a crown setting...

Beautiful hand made sterling and agate pendant and chain necklace, c.1920's. The classically designed arts & crafts pendant measures 1 5/8" long by 1" with a tan agate bezel set in the center. The paperclip chain is interspersed with six silver floral design pieces set with fresh water pearls. The chain measures 24" long. I could never exaggerate the sparkle of the two big, faceted color-change sapphires that adorn the opposing “wings” forming the face of the modernist Enrique Ledesma Mexican hinged bracelet at hand! Set here against untreated sterling (quite often, Ledesma uses niello-type oxidation to enhance the contrast between gemstone and silver) the stones pass from amethyst to a steely purple under different light conditions thus mimicking the behavior of alexandrites...

Arts & crafts period handmade and very large Scandinavian 830 silver with 4 luminous labradorites stones pendant, c.1905. It is signed "830 S (floral or bug mark) #493", and each of the first 3 marks are in lozenges. Made of heavy gauge lightly gold-washed silver and large scale, it measures 3 5/8" long by 2 1/4" wide. Large four link RUSSIAN NIELLO 84 silver bracelet(comes with an extra link), at least from the 19th century, could be older. Has three marks including "84" Russian silver mark. Each link measures 2" by 1 1/4" and the inside circumference is 7 1/2" around. The bracelet has not opening so is made as a bangle. However, there is an extra link that can be added. Great Modernist design in this vintage sterling bracelet by renowned New York jeweler John Iversen. It measures 7 1/2" end to end, the links measure from 1" wide in the front to gradual tapering to 3/8" at the terminals. Weighing 19 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed John Iversen Sterling on the tag which he attaches on his items...

The larger sides are designed as abstract forms with a pocked layer on a thin, flat surface. The opposite sides are undecorated rectangular panels. They are marked on the bridge bars with Ed Wiener’s name on one side and sterling on the other. The larger sides measure ¾ inch long by 3/8 inch wide. Weight: 14.2 grams total

This is a spectacular vintage hand wrought sterling silver brooch by the well known Boston silversmith, Ella L. Cone. Looks like a surreal silhouette.

Measures 4 3/8" high and 1 5/8" at the widest. Roll over clasp holds securely. Marked Sterling, Hand ELC Made on the back. Has a little tarnish and minor surface scratches.

Reminds us of the surreal pieces by Paul Lobel and Ed Wiener.

A modernist pair of sterling silver earrings by noted mid century New York City jeweler, Sam Kramer.

Measure 1 1/4" long and 1" across.

Have two overlapping wavy pieces of sterling, top is concave and the bottom is convex for an interesting effect.

Marked Sterling and with the mushroom mark of the artist on the back of one dangle. Marked sterling on the back of the screw backs which hold securely.

Have some minor surface scratches and a little tarnish...

A wonderfully crafted hand wrought sterling silver pendant and chain with a central bezel set coral colored swirled agate by NYC lapidarist and jeweler, Felice Raabe Isreeli, (1915-2001).

Pendant measures 2 1/2" long including the bale and 1 1/2" across. The chain measures 20" long. Hook closure holds securely. Both pieces are marked Sterling and FELICE.

The necklace is in fine condition with a warm patina. Very intricate design.

Brooch measures 2 3/4" across and 2" high. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. The screw back earrings measure 1" across and 3/4" high. Marked Sterling on the back of one screw back. They hold securely. The set has some minor scratches and tarnish...
