This delicate sterling silver bracelet features lavender cloisonné enamel panels enhanced with rhinestones that alternate with square-mounted rhinestones. The edges of the panels are textured to give the feel of millegraining. The bracelet is well made, with scrolled details in the enamel work, and securely soldered connecting links. It has a good heft, despite its delicate appearance, and an original spring-ring clasp in good working order...
Bold pendant earrings with a deeply oxidized design of stylized animal faces. The panels are impressed with the design, and there is a bit of wear to the oxidation, but the effect is still striking. The panels also have a graceful curve, which also enhances the design. There is no maker’s mark; one screw back shows a mark of 980 Taxco, the other, sterling/Taxco/Mexico. The entire length of the earring, including the rounded top, is a little over 2 inches. Weight: 13.5 grams
Pendant necklaces are a favorite of mine - I love their versatility and the fact that I can layer them whichever way I want. Luckilly, there is a fabulous selection within the world of vintage Mexican silver jewelry to choose from but I feel particularly lucky to have come upon an example of a classic Taxco design that is, however, smaller in scale than pendants of this design usually in...

This smart bar pin features loops on either side of an oval cabochon chrysoprase. It has a nice heft, and the stone is securely bezel-mounted. A glorious emulation of Spratling's "Aztec Sun" design, the early Mexican Deco silver and amethyst cuff at hand combines repoussage and overlay with cleverly applied oxidation that adds more depth and drama to an already stunning bracelet. This is a generously proportioned piece so if you always craved a cuff like it but couldn't find one to fit, don't miss this opportunity...
