Circa 1940-1945, this is a heavy solid 940 silver bracelet from Hector Aguilar. It's an iconic early design, known as "Fertility". A book piece design, it's shown in the Morrill/Berk book "Silver Masters of Mexico", as well as "Mexican Silver". Calling the vintage Mexican silver and black stone "mask" ring I am presenting here massive is not an exaggeration. It is not just the actual ring size (9.5 US) that makes it so; it is also the textured, solid setting, quite masculine in design, and the beautifully carved, stupendous effigy it houses. I am not sure what the stone is - I think it might be onyx but it could also be black agate. I am fascinated by its opaque gravity and the way its satin finish invites the touch...

This mid-century Margot de Taxco brooch is likely one of a kind. The Victorian era high relief Greek goddess is hand-carved and exquisitely detailed. This handsome, handmade Italian sterling silver bracelet by Peruzzi is composed of linked openwork oval and round frames holding applied flowers and leaves. The flowers look to have been hand constructed, petal-by-petal. The hook clasp and safety chain are very secure; the inside of the bracelet bears the Peruzzi and sterling marks. A superb early vintage Mexican Silver Bracelet by the famous Matilde Poulat aka MATL. Features her signature ornate silver work and a lovely combination of Coral and Turquoise cabochon stones. Measures 7" long, 1 1/2" wide and is quite heavy at 79.5 grams. With the early hallmark "Matl, 0.925, Hecho en Mexico, D.F. MATL" which dates the bracelet to the 1934-48 time period. (Mark is a bit worn). In good condition with a secure box clasp. A fantastic bracelet by this highly sought after artist.
