Modernist handmade necklace signed "SAM W. GRAVES STERLING", c.1950's. It combines an art deco and Native American feel in an interesting geometric chevron design. Not certain, but I believe that Sam Graves was a contemporary of Frank Patania and H. Fred Skaggs, working in the southwest. This hollow silver necklace shows a high degree of craftsmanship. A delightful Imperial Austrian silver brooch set with three reverse-carved Essex crystals by the Imperial jeweler Georg Adam Scheid. The domed pin is finely engraved in a basket-weave motif and is pierced by three Essex crystals, each depicting a lap dog, perhaps a Pekingese. The dogs are well carved and colored, with tiny blue bows under their chins. The crystals never had a mother-of-pearl backing like those produced in England and France...

This beautiful ring is a size 6. The front of the band displays 3 central, square boxes, each with 4 square marcasites, surrounded by 8 bezel-set circular marcasites on a decorative oxidized inner surface. The band tapers front to back from 1/2" to 1/4". The inside is marked / stamped 925. This lovely ring is in excellent condition.

One of the few female designers of Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance that we know of, Bernice Goodspeed arrived in Mexico's capital in 1930, according to Bille Hougart. Even though she and her painter husband, Carl Pappe, identified as writers and artists primarily, they opened a shop in Taxco where they sold not only their books and artwork but also jewelry that Bernice herself designed...

These elegant earrings by Antonio Pineda have a great modernist design with their gorgeous combination of silver and deep Black Onyx stones. They measure 1/2" X 1/2" and together they weigh 12.2 grams. Hallmarked on both earrings with the Antonio Taxco crown they are in good vintage condition with minor age related wear and tarnish and the screw backs are in good working order. Stunning antique Austro Hungarian silver girandole drop earrings in 935 silver with glass paste stones, in an 18th century style. Circa 1910. 935 silver is a bit higher in silver content than sterling, and the designation was used in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. Signed as shown this Lotus necklace is dramatic, made of thick silver repousse and does command an audience when gazed upon. It is also Mona Lisa's favorite as you see her in it. the drop is 4.5 inches across and 4.5 inches down. For size the 4.5in down is also part of the wearable of 17 inches. No damage anywhere. All collections need one of these. Looks great with a white button front shirt that can go anywhere you do. A go to piece, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

This superb pin is by Taxco silversmith Sigi Pineda. The boomerang design is complimented by the overlay of dots on the oxidized background. It is signed "Sigi Tasco" "STERLING HECHO EN MEXICO" and numbered "60" with assay mark 3 (see pictures). It measures 2 1/2" x 1" and is in excellent condition.
