This mid-century bracelet was produced by Antonio Pineda. It's a superb piece with a sleek modernist design, a mirror-like finish, and ten gorgeous oval amethyst cabochons. It's a bracelet which works equally well with dressy or casual wear. The amethyst gemstones are bezel-set at the center of thick square silver panels in such a way as to appear to float...

From a TROCADERO Customer..."I believe the tiffany piece with a heart that you said is a money clip is a bookmark and the hole at the end is where a ribbon would be attached to mark the page even further". Saying that since haven't seen another of these in the 18 years this Seller has been in the Estate Jewelry and Silver Business. Feels Too Heavy to be worn as a Tie Bar...

An early Los Castillo design and very much in keeping with the 1940s' love for sweeping flourishes this set of earrings, carefully hand-cut, overlaid and oxidized will add just the right amount of festive spirit to your outfit. Bold and confident, the swirls seem to twist upon themselves in excitement and then reach high up for the skies with abandonment. Got to love the Los Castillo and the myriad ways in which they still make our day...

Admittedly my favorite Mexican modernist, Salvador Teran seems to have never had a "bad" moment during his career. There is not one piece of his that I have come upon which I have not loved for its quirky abstraction, its sometimes tongue-in-cheek genius, its magical way of playing with layers, abstraction and oxidation. The mod pendant presented here provides a good illustration, I believe, of the point I am trying to make...
