It is a beautiful pin which doubles as a pendant, and it is paired with a custom made hand-wrought sterling silver Navajo chain. Dimensions are 2 3/4" tall, 2 1/16" wide. Circa mid-century, this necklace was produced by Tane Orfebres of Mexico City. Tane, founded in the 1950's, is referred to as the "Tiffany's of Mexico". This is one of their earlier pieces.

Chunky fine, .970 silver and gorgeous, appetizingly curvaceous tiger's eye spheres come together in this set of Mexican cufflinks by Taxco's renowned modernist, Antonio Pineda. I acquired this pair of Miguel Melendez’s hinged bangles as a set some time ago and after long deliberations, I decided that they should continue in life as such. Miguel is one of Taxco’s modernists yet he honed his skills at Spratling’s Las Delicias and working for Margot de Taxco for many years. Circa mid-century, this is a spectacular set of bracelet and earrings from Sigi Pineda. Bracelet can be worn by either a man or woman. The bracelet features a huge and gorgeous gold sheen obsidian stone, which measures just over 1 3/8" square. The stone was cut so that ribbons of gold sheen run on the diagonal. Bracelet is hinged on two sides to open nice and wide and easily fits over the wrist. Closure is a tight and secure slide in tongue in groove, and a safety latch...

This lovely, early 1960's sterling silver pin is depicts a lovely grapevine. It is in excellent condition and measures 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" (as well as convex). The back is marked STERLING BY JEWELART.

One of the most talented Taxco maestros, Gerardo Lopez was exceptional in the art of repoussage and his jewelry is sought after and avidly collected for its quality and inventive motif combinations. Exceptional sculptural, tactile sterling bracelet designed by the Swedish silversmith Rey Urban for the Danish company A. Fausing. Measuring 7 5/8" end to end, it is 1" wide and weighs 91 grams. The clasp interlocks and looks continuous on the wrist. All of the links move and are fluid when on. It is in fine original condition and signed as shown. Very industrial and architectural looking. A Modernist masterpiece !
