A twist to Margot de Taxco's classic all silver zodiac pendant / charms this sinewy Sagittarius rises above a background of multicolored confetti enamel. A true feast for the eyes, the archer faces the viewer but has his head turned to the right in the direction of his outstretched bow-holding arm. I love these enameled examples by Margot because the confetti, especially the primarily blue / green version like here, reminds me of clear nights when thousands of twinkling stars light up the skies...

Mystery mark reward below. This seahorse motif Arts Crafts or Modernist pin brooch is as found unpolished unmarked for silver content (yet tests at least 90%) is stamped with silversmith's mark of superimposed CW or WC.
The chased seahorse, coral and other sea life motifs appear to be applied on to a slightly convex 55mm (2 1/8") round
Weighs approx 18 grams. Safety clasp. Still unpolished and tests at least 90% yet may be higher than sterling...

A great vintage sterling pin by Frank Patania Sr. designed for the Southeast Arizona Sports Car Club. It was originally a car hood or grill ornament that a previous owner had made into a pin. Measures 3” long and wide and weighs 36 grams. It is signed as shown. No need to be a member of this club to love the pin!!

A concave sterling bangle signed Hans Hansen Denmark 925S. For a smaller wrist and hand, it measures 2-1/4" ( inner diameter), is 1/4" wide and weighs 29.2gr.

This bracelet is adorned with an oval, bezel-set, onyx stone that measures 3/4" x 1/2" x 3/8". It has a hook-clasp. It is marked 925 MEXICO TM-192 (possibly, 152). It has good heft and is in excellent condition.

Maestro Damaso Gallegos was for years associated in my mind with the Mexican Deco "Christmas jewelry” tradition. His “holly and bells” as well as “bow and bells” designs are a classic way to celebrate the coming of the holiday season yet in the last couple of years I keep stumbling upon totally unexpected pieces by him. The massive, early Taxco combination pin / pendant with the carved stone “mask” at hand is crafted in high purity, .980 silver with overlay, beading and oxidation...

The first one is a sterling silver modernist pendant with a bezel set green - brown swirled stone cabochon.

Measures 1 3/8" across and 1 5/8" high including the round bale. Due to the large bale it could be worn on a chain or neck ring. The central section swings for an interesting effect.

Geometric, dimensional and unusual signed period art deco sterling, onyx, and marcasites pin, Germany, c.1920. The wonderful design measures 1 5/8" long by 7/8" wide. Pin has original locking device that can hold a chain so can be worn as a necklace also. Pin is signed "STERLING GERMANY EHA". Excellent condition and all marcasites present. Adorable and sweet silver pin in the form of a turtle with beautifully variegated turquoise stones on its back, and red cabochon stones as eyes. Classic Arts & Crafts materials and form, circa 1900 or earlier. The pin back is gold, and may have been added or replaced more recently. A very charming little piece.

A vintage Art Deco 1" blue butterfly wing sterling silver pendant on a 19" later sterling fine link chain with a springring clasp. Being offered is a rare circa 1955 handmade sterling silver bracelet designed by Hector Aguilar of Taxco, Mexico. Comprising modern swirl design links with bezel set obsidian stones; tongue & box closure. Dimensions: size 7 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch wide. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition. Great weight.

A green and brown marbled agate square is decorated with a sterling modified pinwheel design. The handmade bale is sturdy. The entire plaque is mounted on a sterling backing marked 925. There is also a maker’s mark that looks like MAD. The pendant is suspended in the photos from a 26-inch-long Mexican sterling chain ($35 in addition to the pendant, J1341). The pendant measures 1 5/8 inches square.

A sterling silver, heavy key chain and fob by noted American Modernist Jeweler, Paul Voltaire. Features a heavy hammered disk attached to a thick curb chain with a hammered squeeze closure key ring at the other end. Measures 6 1/4" long. Marked Paul Voltaire Sterling. Inscribed Breezy, Xmas 1950 on the back of the disk. Very well made. Fine design.
