William Spratling's Mexican Silver locket which is 2in. long including the loop for a chain, 1.25 in. deep and 1in. across is featured in todays listing. The stones have striations front and back as most from this era of the Mexican Silver Renaissance do. This example is much better than most found. You can see that some rise to the top but the stones are stable and none go all the way thru or across the amethyst stone. The color is dark and beautiful...

This is a wonderfully executed figural ring depicting a man in a turban with snakes on either side, made of sterling silver and decorated by a 5 millimeter round fire opal. The hall mark is a bell within a bell. The ring is size 6 1/4 and it can be sized.

Ca 1940 Here is another early bracelet and necklace with hematite stones created by Laurence Foss, a designer at Georg Jensen. The stones are in perfect condition and the silver has a lovely patina. Both the necklace and bracelet are marked with the Foss stamp Sterling. The bracelet is also marked 416A while the necklace, 416-1/2. The bracelet measures 7" x 3/4"and weighs 25.5 grams; the necklace is 15-1/2" including hook and weighs 33grams. A lovely collector's piece.

This great old Jerusalem Cross can be worn a a pendant or a charm. It measures 3/4" x 7/8". The back is marked 980 for its silver content. The Jerusalem Cross is also known as the "five-fold Cross" and "cross-and-crosslets." The cross has been used in early heraldry. It is also a symbol of faith, among other things.

This sterling stork has a curly tail, leaves for feet and angel like wings. The body is a very large kite shaped reversed carved blue rhinestone. All of this in a sterling setting. This detailed brooch / pin measures 1 1/2" x 2". It features a detailed peacock with a floral accent. The back is marked STERLING, with the Uncas Manufacturing Company hallmark of a U between 2 arrows. It is in excellent condition. The Uncas Mfg. Co. began operations in Providence, Rhode Island in 1911. By the 1950s, Uncas had become the largest manufacturer of costume jewelry rings in the United States.
